https://lnkd.in/eSMmchTa Quick update on this: the IFS-EPS and GEFS extended outlook shows a higher probability of weaker SPV towards mid-December, with some members even showing wind reversals at 10hpa/ 60 N zonal mean. So don't underestimate the role of possible SSW for the upcoming winter season, even if other indices, such as a strong +IOD, are generally supportive of SPV. Let's see how the easterly QBO will influence later... As far as known, a stronger MJO at the right place/phase could end up affecting the forecast in shorter term, however. Winter forecast for the Stratospheric Polar Vortex (SPV), expressed through the zonal mean zonal wind at 10 hpa/ 60 N looks quite ambivalent due to different factors (ENSO, IOD, QBO), some of them with opposite effects....here, the DWD forecast shows the bumpy way of the SPV throughout the winter season. Some really good things here. Now if our magnetosphere is very low and we have massive equalisation of charge from space. is this why so many cultures have pictographs of known types of plasma discharge patterns that can be emulated in labs? Many write the bible off, and Noah said the waters came from above and below. Plasma discharges in labs allow water to come through solid rocks of some type and there is 3-5 times the water of the oceans locked in the crust. Could massive discharges free that? I will leave this post why do we have a saying "thunderbolts of the gods"? Look up the Thunderbolts project on Youtube.
