Access to inclusive education remains a significant challenge for children with disabilities in Ghana, with a staggering one in five never having attended school. Factors such as long distances, inadequate infrastructure, and unfavourable learning environments contribute to erratic attendance and high dropout rates. These challenges are particularly prevalent in Cape Coast, a region in Southern Ghana and part of West Africa. To address these issues, The ANOPA Project, an award-winning NGO based in Cape Coast, is working tirelessly to promote community sensitisation through sports, provide quality education, and offer vocational training. Their efforts aim to increase interactions between disabled and non-disabled individuals, fostering inclusion and understanding. Supported by the RYTHM Foundation, the social impact initiative of the Qi Group, ANOPA's sports-focused educational programmes have made a significant impact. From swimming to basketball and volleyball, students receive training in various sports disciplines. Additionally, free vocational and technical training is provided in the central region of Ghana. Through this partnership, ANOPA has witnessed increased student engagement and boosted confidence in activities such as running, football, and singing. Joy News TV has recognised the remarkable collaboration between RYTHM and ANOPA, producing an exclusive report highlighting the achievements thus far and shedding light on the second phase of this impactful partnership. Stay tuned to learn more about the significant strides made by RYTHM and ANOPA in transforming the lives of children with disabilities in Ghana. #RYTHMFoundation #ANOPA #EducationForAll #Inclusion #SocialImpact #RYTHM
