Offshore wind expansion persists in the relentless pursuit of climate targets. The global offshore renewable energy industry is experiencing a surge, poised to make monumental strides in the years ahead. We are fortunate that the world abounds with renewable energy sources, awaiting efficient and responsible harnessing. Renewables, by their very nature, are virtually boundless and self-replenishing. Encouragingly, the capacity of renewable energy to generate electricity continues its ascent. Data from Statista reveals that by 2023, wind power accounted for over 7% of global electricity generation, marking a significant leap from a mere 1.64% share in 2010. This trajectory underscores the rapidly expanding role of renewables in meeting the world's energy demands while simultaneously addressing environmental concerns. #GreenFuture #SustainableInvesting #SustainableLiving #GreenLiving #cleanenergyfuture #investing #sustainableenergy #Sustainability #cleanenergy #ClimateChange #GoGreen #investments #climatesolutions #green #renewable #CleanEnergyRevolution #gogreen #investment #InvestmentOpportunity #lifestyle #WindPower #investinyourself #offshore #windpower #windmill #climatechange #renewableenergy #RenewableEnergy

Renewable Energy, Powering a Sustainable Future As we continue to witness the impacts of climate change, the shift towards renewable energy has never been more critical. Harnessing the power of nature, renewable energy offers a clean, inexhaustible, and increasingly cost-effective solution to meet our energy needs. Let’s embrace this sustainable path to protect our planet for future generations. The transition to renewable energy is not just a necessity; it’s a revolution. With renewable sources now providing approximately one-seventh of the world’s primary energy, we’re on the cusp of an era where clean energy is the norm. The cost of solar power has plummeted by 85% between 2010 and 2020, making it the cheapest power option in many parts of the world. Meanwhile, wind energy costs have decreased by 56% for onshore and 48% for offshore installations. By 2025, solar energy generation is expected to surge by 75%, and wind by 11% in the United States alone. #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #CleanEnergy #GreenTech #EcoFriendly #FutureIsClean

Wind(s) of change – As latest statistics from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) show, the wind generation in United Kingdom has hit several record levels in 2023. As such, onshore and offshore technologies met over 28% of overall power with wind generating over 60% of renewable electricity last year. "These official figures show that renewables have outstripped fossil fuels yet again and provided more of the UK’s annual electricity needs than ever before, with wind leading the way as our biggest source of clean power", states RenewableUK's Executive Director of Policy Ana Musat. We at SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies, who have set ourselves the goal of accelerating the energy transition with anchoring technologies for the global renewable energy industry, are very pleased about these developments. "This news is well received by all and gives hope that we can win this global battle, however, it does not lessen the need to keep the foot firmly on the accelerator, which means not only easing the path to consenting, but the streamlining of solutions and need to challenge convention...", emphasises Michael Hook, Business Development Director at SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies. 🌍Energy Transition has not started yet 😮 While the world is pushing strong in launching projects of Renewable electricity and Decarbonation, the emissions of carbon related to energy are still on the rise. The main culprit being the steady growth of Energy consumption globally. Despite a massive increase in projects, Renewable energy is not even enough to absord the growth of total energy demand. Given all the maturity issues we are facing in Renewable projects, we won't be able to absord this increase in energy total demand before 2030. Which means the replacement of Fossil energy by Renewable energy won't happen before 2035. Thus Energy Transition, even if in good tracks, won't materialize at best 2035. Then, the transition may happen. This situation puts a lot of pressure and interest into decarbonizing the fossil energy system as much as possible in the meantime, and make sure we don't destroy the planet by 2035. It opens the door for many projects to still be done in Renewables, Decarbonation, Oil & Gas, and energy efficiency.
