For the past two months, our Compositional Intelligence team was delivering weekly e-learning lectures to students at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana (KNUST). Our team used a format developed in 2023 to teach students quantum mechanical concepts such as uncertainty and quantum teleportation, and which is presently the subject of educational research.   Over 11 weeks, our teaching team of Bob Coecke, Hamza Waseem, Lia YehRichie Yeung, and Razin Shaikh used a teaching method based on ZX-calculus – a form of maths based on using pictures rather than traditional notation. ZX is one of the "tools of the trade" among quantum computing professionals, where it is used for tasks such as circuit optimization and lattice surgery. As our team discovered in previous projects, it is incredibly intuitive and students with little or no technical background can quickly gain impressive quantum reasoning skills. You can read more about this approach here: https://lnkd.in/edCC6q44   Our team continues to support quantum learning efforts in Ghana, the nation that originally proposed that 2025 be marked as the United Nations International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. We look forward to playing a significant part in making this year a huge success – to reach and inspire the next generation of quantum scientists, and ensure this revolutionary technology benefits people and communities the world over.   The lectures are posted on KNUST’s YouTube: https://lnkd.in/edmvG5NF

Your delivery was fantastic. It was an honor to experience quantum through the lense of ZX calculus with Quantinuum

And it was an astute pedagogical delivery on your part. I loved every bit of your teachings. Thank you Quantinuum. I'd love a professional connection with your teaching team.
