We are excited to share the 1st publication from the Taylor Lab in collaboration with the Stoppel Lab (published back in March #latepost)! In this review, we discuss diverse approaches to engineering the musculoskeletal tendinous junction (MTJ) using biomaterial scaffolds and cellularized materials that replicate the MTJ structure and function for mechanistic and therapeutic discovery. I’m excited to announce that my third conference paper, titled "ACOkEL: Ant Colony Optimization for Selecting k-Labelsets for Multi-label Classification," was successfully presented at the 10th International Conference on Industrial and Systems Engineering (ICISE 2024). It was an honor to collaborate with Dr. Shahrokh Asadi, whose expertise and guidance were invaluable throughout this research. Our research addresses the challenges associated with multi-label classification, where samples can be linked to multiple labels. These challenges, including high data complexity and label imbalance, can compromise accuracy and elevate operational costs. By leveraging ant colony optimization, our method, ACOkEL, aims to enhance efficiency and performance in multi-label classification across diverse applications, from image recognition to disease diagnosis.
