Yesterday I asked you to consider the discomfort of death. Our aversion to facing it keeps us disconnected from fully living. Today I suggest you take one kind of death (a way of being, an old story, a job...) and really lean into. Look at all the reasons it would serve you to let this piece of your life go or what it would make space for. If everything in life never released the old, we would have forests stacked high with old trees, congested waterways, mountains that just kept growing...a world overwhelmed with too much of everything and a universe so filled with stars and planets that galaxies would stop spiralling. Everything has an end point for a reason...so that we can continue to change and grow and thrive. So ..what has fulfilled its purpose and needs to be set free? #theyearofdiscomfort #discomfort #ritamofyourlife

These two are haunting me. This poem by Mary Oliver: There are moments that cry out to be fulfilled. Like, telling someone you love them. Or giving your money away, all of it. (spoiler alert) It's easy to see the MAGA crowd as the suckers. But can you see mainstream #impactinvesting in here? Consider what ultimately doomed the planet: it was private industry convincing government to step aside, even though private industry's solution was untested (but they were oh so confident in it).
