James Bremen, the head of Quinn Emanuel's Construction and Engineering Practice, and London-based Partner Mark Grasso have co-authored a chapter for the fifth edition of 'The Guide to Construction Arbitration' published by Global Arbitration Review. The chapter, titled 'Employers' Claims and Remedies', examines construction disputes that proceed to arbitration and are initiated by contractors. It analyses the differences in positions between contractors and employers, and considers the range of claims that employers generally pursue in arbitration. These claims typically revolve around four key issues: the time for project delivery, the quality of the final product, termination, and payment.
