This project is very inspirational. I mean, as programmers we get too used to working with computers in a specific way. Projects like this reminds us that it doesn't have to be only one way. Germans don't need a space bar on the keyboard. Because we like to squashallthewordstogether... 🙂 This is basically how a fun conversation went last Friday in the comments to my Fun Friday post about "Toilettenbürstenbenutzungsanweisung" with Iain Ferguson and Zoltan Szalontay. So that then made me think about what I would do with all the space on my keyboard if the (useless 😉 ) space bar was gone and replaced with x5 empty keys!! Just like my "new" keyboard in the image! What would I want these x5 keys to be??? So far, I have come up with: TP - teleport - with one click, I can be teleported to wherever my learner is who I am speaking to online, e.g. if they are on a nice, sunny beach - teleport me there now! WTF - what the flip - to be pressed whenever anything truly puzzles me, mainly IT mysteries!! 🙂 and this button magically resolves everything and makes everything work again! ? ? ? Still looking for ideas for 3,4, and 5.... Iain Ferguson suggested he would have an "any" key, since instructions often say "press any key", but he doesn't have one 🙂 Which x5 keys would you add to your keyboard??
