Bagnaia vs Martin: How they compare in key areas https://lnkd.in/eTC9Qbb7 With only two rounds left of the 2023 MotoGP title fight and a mere 14 points separating reigning champion Pecco Bagnaia from hunter Jorge Martin, itโs all to play for at Lusail and Valencia over the next two weekends. But with two very different circuits ahead and with two vastly different characters on opposing ends of the fight, and the new-for-2023 wildcard of Saturday sprint races, there's even more drama to whatโs already proven a spectacular run-in to the season. Both racers bring very different strengths and weaknesses to the fight - which means itโs only fair to compare those characteristics to see if we can determine who the odds favour as they prepare to go to battle for the penultimate time. Each category on our list has a total score of one either split between Bagnaia and Martin if we see them as equal in that element or awarded 1-0 in favour of who we rate as superior.

7๏ธโฃ Round Six: Emilia Romagna 7๏ธโฃ Two weeks ago in Miami, we completed our second sprint weekend and witnessed Lando Norris clinch his maiden F1 win. This week, F1 will head to Emilia-Romagna region in Italy! Hosted in Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, the Emilia Romagna GP will be the first of the two races in Italy. The track features a mix of narrow, speedy, and technical sectors as the drivers tackle its 19 corners. Expect action (and potentially chaos) coming into the Tamburello corner. So, what should we look out for this weekend? ๐ Ahead of the 2024 race, hereโs a little reminder of what happened in Imola 2 years ago after last yearโs edition was cancelled due to a flood in the region: ๐ณ Both Mercs failed to reach Q3: Lewis Hamilton secured pole position in the 2021 edition and teammate George Russell failed to reach Q3 for the sprint race. ๐ฅ Max wins the sprint race: Verstappen took the lead of the sprint with two laps remaining, with Leclerc finishing second and Sergio Pรฉrez in third. ๐ฅ Back-to-back Imola podium for Norris: With his third-place finish, Lando Norris scored his second consecutive Imola podium, capitalizing from Charles Leclerc hit the barriers whilst chasing second place. Whatโs your prediction for the Emilia Romagna GP? Let us know in the comments below! ๐ ** ๐ Love seeing Formula One content on LinkedIn? The Brazilian Grand Prix is over. A weekend packed with the Sprint race and the main race. The Sprint race winners were Max V. (RedBull F1 team) first, second Lando N. (Mclaran F1 team) and third Sergio P. (RedBull F1 team). Some great overtaking action happened up and down the grid. The main race was also won by Max V. (RedBull F1 team). He is just breaking records after records, this time a seventy one year old record of Ferrari driver Alberto Ascari. It was another story behind Max where the real action happened. Lando N. (Mclaran F1 team) happens to have a ring of good podium finishes. The most exciting nail biting battle was between Fernando A. (Aston Martin F1 team) and Sergio P. (RedBull F1 team). Sergio had a faster car but it was the more experienced Fernando who kept Sergio at bay. Sergio did manage to overtake Fernando on the last lap but Fernando managed to overtake him going into the next corner. It was one of the closest nail biting finish, a drag up the hill to the chequered flag. Fernando beat Sergio by just 0.053 second. The best thing about the battle was that both drivers fought hard, but fair, a true sportsman spirit by both drivers. Take from the race is - battle hard for the position but in a fair manner, giving enough room to each other just like Fernando and Sergio showcased in the duel. Two races left, now F1 goes back to United States for the Las Vegas F1 race. A new venue! Will it also have a new winner? Any guesses? #formula1 #f1 #cars #carracing #motorsports #fans #championship

BWT Alpine F1 Team heads to Spielberg for Round 11 of the 2024 FIA F1 World Championship, the Austrian Grand Prix. Esteban Ocon says: I have always liked racing in Austria. I have some fond memories here. Back in 2020, after a year out from racing, racing in Spielberg was the first one of the season. I remember the very wet Qualifying that year when we managed to qualify in fifth. In 2022, we had a good weekend here, taking ten points in fifth place. The track itself is short so usually the field is close and every hundredth and thousandth of a second counts. We have to get our high speed balance right and the aim for us is keep the positive trend going, which means an eye on Q3 again and, of course, valuable points. Pierre Gasly also says: Triple headers are always challenging. After Barcelona weโre straight into Austria and for a busy Sprint weekend. Spielberg is a short lap, the shortest for lap times during the year, with only nine corners. Itโs a challenging one with kerbs, hard braking zones and a lot of high-speed corners. Itโs always a very good event in Austria, a great atmosphere and a place I have enjoyed racing. We must take our learnings from Barcelona โ especially high speed performance and balance โ and apply them here this weekend. As itโs a Sprint we have to be on the pace straight away and put ourselves in a position to compete in both races. Did you know, Alpine performed its three fastest pitstops of the 2024 season in the Spanish Grand Prix. With Pierre Gaslyโs 2.32s stop in the Japanese GP being their previous best, the team performed stops of 2.03s (Ocon), 2.24s (Gasly) and 2.27s (Ocon again) in Catalunya, making Alpine the third-fastest team in pitlane in 2024, behind only championship leaders Oracle Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Ferrari HP. #Alpine #alpinecars #alpineracing #alpinef1team #f1 #formula1 #AlpineF1 #AustrianGP #redbullring #AlpineCars #spielberg #raceday #teamenstone

--- Is Silverstone Remaining On The F1 Calendar? ๐ฌ๐ง๐๏ธ --- it has just been confirmed by F1 that the British Grand Prix, Silverstone will remain on the calendar for a little while longer! --- The Rundown! ๐ค --- The Silverstone Grand Prix held a whopping 480,000 attendees across the 2023 race weekend, which no doubt helped to contribute to the iconic circuit securing a new 10 year deal to remain in F1, a deal length recently signed for the Vegas GP and new 2026 Madrid GP. Silverstone is so iconic that it featured its first F1 race in 1950, making it one of the historic and iconic tracks in the sport. Not only this, but 7 out of the 10 current teams in the constructors of F1 are based within just a few miles of the circuit. Could you argue that Silverstone is the MOST iconic track in F1, or could Monza or Monaco take that spot? ๐ #f1 #news #f1news #motorsport #motorsports #sport #sports #sportnews #sportsnews #motorsportnews #motorsportsnews #racing #racingnews #silverstone #silverstonenews #britishgp #britishf1 #f1britain #luxedrive

Here you can find my last editorial for the May's edition of the MXGP Magazin. Infront Moto Racing Infront Sports & Media AG #infrontmotoracing #infrontsports #allaboutsports #allaboutmxgp #mxgp #mx2 #motorsports #motocross #riders #marketingย #sports #sportsbusiness #sportmarketing #mxgpmag
David Luongo โ EDITORIAL โ MXGP MAG #128 As we are gearing up for the Liqui Moly MXGP of Germany in Teutschenthal, it is already the time for our Mayโs edition of the MXGP Magazine. The past month has been very intense with our first triple headers Grand Prix that took place in Portugal, Spain and France. The MXGP of Portugal was very challenging with the weather conditions, but despite the very heavy rain during the whole weekend in Agueda, we, together with the local organizer, were capable to deliver a Grand Prix in good conditions. It is in these occasions that you really realise how much effort and determination motocross requires, and how much the sport is growing. In fact our champions are constantly proving that they can ride in any condition, and it is not the case in any other sport. I would also like to emphasise the great work made by the track crew and the organizer; they did an amazing work on the track during the whole Saturday night until Sunday morning to allow the Grand Prix to take place, and also in between the different races. Pauls Jonass got his first Grand Prix victory in the MXGP class during this crazy weekend, and it was a great reward for Honda Standing Construct Team. One week later, Spain welcomed the MXGP on a bright new track in the beautiful region of Galicia, near the hometown of the reigning World Champion Jorge Prado. This new track, designed on a very natural and elevated area, received a lot of positive feedback from the whole paddock. The Spanish fans answered massively the call and came to cheer for the local hero. Jorge Prado made a perfect weekend and won the Grand Prix.ย Then we went back to Saint Jean dโAngely for the Monster Energy Grand Prix of France. We had to face again a very challenging weekend with heavy rain during Saturday and Sunday. Here again the organizer together with our track crew did an amazing job of maintenance on the track and the whole venue. The French fans came once again massively to celebrate the comeback of the best riders in the world after the Monster Energy MXoN that took place in Ernee last October. [โฆ] Read all the Editor here https://lnkd.in/dansxy6t We cannot wait for the racing this weekend in Teutschenthal for the next round of the MXGP World Championship.ย ย See you in Germany! ย David Luongo CEO Infront Moto Racingย
