Absolutely love days like yesterday - out and about visiting our lovely partners. Was an early start travelling down to London to see our friends at Reward Gateway We had some great discussions about our benefits platform and data insights, plus a teaser of what’s coming down the line! We were then treated to a lovely lunch at Dean Street Townhouse which I can highly recommend. I should also add what a delight it was to bump into Nick Court at RG’s office - great to see you Nick and we must have that coffee catch up sometime! After lunch it was a quick dash to the nearest tube station and the Elizabeth Line to the City to meet with Lockton and Aviva for our quarterly review. So great to do this in person rather than virtually. Usage of the Digicare+ Workplace app with Aviva is surpassing all expectations with fantastic colleague feedback so I can’t wait to see how that develops. We also got some great pointers to the help and support Aviva offer to both colleagues and line managers when dealing with cancer. Really useful content. Finally home at 7pm but feeling exhilarated! What’s the worst that can happen when playing tennis? 🎾 With Wimbledon starting this week we thought we’d take a look at our archive to see the types of tennis related claims our historic companies used to get. Well, alongside the usual slips and trips, including a clergyman who fell over a dog while playing tennis, we also found a claim for an AMPUTATED LEG in 1889! 😲 But it’s not all about tennis related injury claims. We also have alumni who played tennis at a very high level, including Sir Norman Brookes who won Wimbledon in 1907. Sir Norman was better known as ‘The Wizard (of Oz) and was chairman of the Australian board of directors at our heritage company North British and Mercantile. #Wimbledon
