Film Tipp: „Überleben- ein Arzt und sein Krebs“ Can be streamed in German and French Wolfram Gössling is a well-known and renowned oncologist who speaks about himself and his illness in a documentary on ARTE TV. The film describes him as a person, patient and doctor. It shows the long and setback-filled path in which participation in a clinical trial also plays an important role. Worth seeing as a human portrait, worth seeing to understand once again what the "testing / evaluation of a hypothesis" can mean for an individual! Research is also very important for rare diseases. #artetv #clinicalresearch #cranet Follow the link! https://lnkd.in/eVgcYUC5

I was pleased to be able to contribute to this report on the Top 10 priorities for research on neurodivergence. Read it here! #top10neurodivergence
This #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek, Embracing Complexity has released the Top 10 Priorities for Research on Neurodivergence. The first of it's kind to include multiple people with varying neurodivergent conditions and diagnostic statuses. The Priorities will guide future research to help transform our understanding of neurodivergence and address the systemic barriers many neurodivergent people face. Patient preference and benefit-risk leader, chief scientist at Kielo Research, co-founder at Valorem Health
Our paper on multi-dimensional thresholding (MDT), an innovative preference elicitation method, is now out in Value in Health (the official journal of ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research). In this paper, we (Sebastian Heidenreich, Douwe Postmus, and I) introduce the MDT procedure and demonstrate the precision of different question choice algorithms with computational experiments. MDT is an excellent choice for eliciting patient preferences in smaller sample sizes. At Kielo Research, we specialise in patient preference studies, and MDT is yet another tool we can use to deliver them resource-efficiently. Unlike methods such as discrete choice experiments, MDT can work well on mobile devices, though its implementation is not trivial. Valorem Health provides software that allows quick deployment of MDT in various contexts, including patient preference studies, patient ad-boards, and clinical trials. If you're interested in hearing more, get in touch, and we can arrange a time to chat! #patientpreferences #patientexperience #rwe
Our Chief Scientist, Tommi Tervonen, published on a novel patient preference methodology. Multi-dimensional thresholding allows for smaller sample sizes and could be an ideal approach for rare diseases where recruiting hundreds of patients is not feasible. The paper is freely downloadable using this link: https://lnkd.in/ezvfZnDj #patientpreferences #patientexperience #rwe
