You know what??? Santa is real and he’s in HR. Observant, Finicky and Rewarding! 😅 Wish you all a very Happy Merry Christmas! And this random thought crossed my mind who is real Santa in professional world? Santa’s real, and he’s in HR. How? Just like any seasoned HR, Santa observes the children throughout the year (their activities, growth, efforts made to get in his good books) and then finally when the D-day arrives (Christmas Eve), he showers the good ones with gifts.🌈 Here is the similarity between Santa and any HR of the company: 1. Santa understands that dedication should be rewarded meaningfully. 2. Santa never fails to pay attention. 3. Santa understands the importance of a good management process. 4. Santa leaves children/employees with a simple roadmap for achievement. So, does Santa sound like a perfect HR?They are not only our “Secret Santa Claus” but are also so much more than that. So, Brightly's Santa (Talent Acquisition Professionals) are hiring for various technology roles. What are you waiting for? Share your CVs with us. #merrychristmas #celebration #culturematters #hiringalerts #happyemployees

I have a great idea. Reduce EQT executive compensation and increase every other employee’s compensation while still saving overall payroll costs. Employee compensation is spent at local retail establishments and professional services which is awesome for our economy. Less overall compensation costs equals more earnings to send to the owners of the company via dividends. CEO Rice, it’s a great idea. You can reach out to me and I can help. Imagine the great publicity from such a move. And you are most welcome. For your edification, surrounding yourself with a bunch of yes minions will keep your share price dropping. An original idea isn’t possible in that environment. Maybe you need someone to challenge you. No maybe, your ego needs someone to challenge you. Reduce executive compensation. Pay the American worker and the shareholders. That plays in Peoria dude.
Wishing everyone a Happy Labor Day!

🎅🎄🎁 Merry Christmas to everyone of you who did such a good job working through this year's Christmas Day! 🎁🎄🎅 I hope this joyful word reaches you in brilliant spirits, with family and friends gathered around for the merriment of Christmas. While there are many faithfully taking well-earned vacations, I would like to pay tribute here to the people who chose service over rest today: The procurement folk! Well, yes; You heard correctly. The real heroes who rolled Santa's gifts across the globe 🌍 turned out to be machines! Procurement teams are frequently hidden from view, continually oiling the cogs of operations even during holidays. They're like elves for Santa, working ceaselessly behind the scenes to see that gifts reach their destinations--the most sought-after gadgets and toys of course, but also things without which people can hardly live. 🎁🚚💼 #merrychristmas #procurementprofessionals #

Count the Cost of Relo Almost every week someone from the Northeast calls to inquire about the availability of positions in Florida. As simple as it is, my first question is: WHY??? I get the usual responses: to be closer to family or they are tired of the Northeastern winters. As important as those two factors may be, there are many other considerations when moving to another state, not the least of which is CULTURE. Most of my life was spent in what I call beautiful Bucks County, PA. There are four definite seasons, and the falls and springs are almost idyllic. I consider myself to be a Northeasterner at heart. Die-hard Phillies and Eagles fan. I love hot weather so that appealed to me about moving to Florida, but what I didn’t consider was how different the culture is here. People have moved here from all over so there aren’t very many natives, and it is extremely transient with people coming and going all the time, so it’s much harder to get to know people. People in the Northeast make a big deal about most holidays. We have parades, haunted houses, hayrides, bonfires, and picnics on the 4th of July, and everyone goes to the shore on Memorial Day and Labor Day. Extended families get together for birthdays, anniversaries, and pretty much any excuse to celebrate. There are a lot more Halloween parties in the Northeast. Yes, they have those kinds of things in Florida, but they are not very interesting. It seems like the only things people get excited about here are Disney, the weather and maybe college sports. Now lest you think I am a Debbie Downer, it has taken me ten years, but I actually like it here now. I love dining outside at night in the winter and swimming almost all year. I love the clean warm beaches where you don’t need a beach tag and boating on the many lakes. So, if you are thinking about relocation, make sure you take into consideration how different the culture is from where you are now. Maybe you will love the differences.

I returned to work this week from my maternity “sabbatical” as i like to call it. I knew having twins and a toddler would be challenging, but in the past 5 months I was pushed to the limits and tested. Most days I smiled, some days I cried, but every day i learned something new about myself and my abilities. Some things i learned: - PRIORITIZE YOUR TIME WISELY - DIVIDING YOUR ATTENTION IS HARD AND CREATES MORE STRESS. YOU WILL BE LESS STRESSED IF YOU FOCUS ON ONE THING (baby) AT A TIME - A CLEAN WORKSPACE (house) IMPROVES YOUR PERFORMANCE - CREATE A PROCESS, FOLLOW IT, AND CHANGE IT OFTEN TO ADAPT - YOU CAN’T DO IT ALONE. ASK FOR HELP - IT’S NO ONES FAULT. WORK TOGETHER TO FIND A SOLUTION - SOMETIMES, ALMOST ALWAYS, THINGS DON’T GO AS PLANNED, AND THAT’S OK - MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF. A GOOD HEAD SPACE ALLOWS YOU TO BE BETTER AT EVERYTHING - IF YOU ARE FEELING OVERSTIMULATED, TAKE A 10 MINUTE BREAK - PEOPLE ARE NOT MIND READERS. COMMUNICATION IS KEY - BABY SNUGGLES HEAL EVERYTHING I am fortunate to work for a company that allowed me to take 5 months of paid leave to care for my babies and grow personally and professionally. I will miss these faces so so much, but I can’t wait to apply everything I’ve learned!

Spring break staycation in full effect! Since this guy could eat real food, we have gone on “cake dates.” This is what he called them at 1 years old because he has always loved pancakes. We would visit local coffee shops and diners for pancakes once a week. Our “cake dates” have gone from coloring the kids menu to having intellectual conversations about abandoned historic buildings and how to navigate friendships. This is when I can get my now “tween” to open up to me about life. We both cherish our “cake dates.” It’s a safe space. No one is too busy to carve out an hour or two once a week for a “cake date” with their kid. It’s on the calendar. No excuses. This is what matters. Ryder doesn’t care about my resume, my degrees, or what I am wearing, he cares that I have made our relationship a priority. Take this as your sign to pause for a few minutes, and plan something basic with someone in your life. Create your own version of a “cake date.” I promise, this will create an meaningful impact on both of your lives. #relationshipsmatter #workingparent #impactdaily

Merry Christmas! The majority of the people, worldwide, will be getting time off from work because of this holiday, and rightly so. If you work for a company that does give you days off from work because of holidays, you might think they are all the same, but I would like us to consider this difference and why we use the word, holiday in the first place. Most companies operating in America, recognize Labor Day as a holiday for the workers. It is a day of rest for us. The same can be said for Memorial Day and the 4th of July; they are designed to give us time to reenergize ourselves. They are all about things we need. Then we have Christmas and Easter, which are Holy days; they are all about God, not us. These holy days are for us to give back to Him, recognizing He is the focal point. If we don’t include Him on these holy days, the time off selfishly becomes all about us and that is not what they are designed to be.
