➡️Came across a very interesting point of view on "How trust influences healthcare decisions?" of individuals and here is my take on it. ➡️It will not be a hyperbole if we say "Healthcare is a behavior change business". Let's deep dive to understand what it means. ✅️ What drives people's health related decisions? If we want an individual to exercise more, eat better, take medicines on time or seek mental health services, all this is a change in behavior and the key influencer to make it happen is TRUST ✅️ Deep dive on the impact of trust. If an individual trusts healthcare ecosystem they are more likely to adhere to healthcare professional advice to take meds, get a diagnostic etc. resulting in health improvement and if there is a trust deficit, medical advice rendered might be ignored by the individual. ✅️Factors Defining Trust Many brands recognize the influence of Gen Z on the household purchases from cars to cereals. Armed with information from multiple conflicting sources it will be even more difficult to win the trust of gen Z but they might be influencing key decisions as to which health plan to buy or whether to go for virtual care or in person care. Gen Z consumers will be very different from boomer patients so it is imperative that the healthcare system overhauls it's approach. Another key factor defining trust is how the individual is treated by the system, "A patient with a condition" or "A whole person with different physical, emotional and mental needs directly impacting his/her health" ✅️It is imperative for health plans and health systems to win the trust of the member at each healthcare journey touch point to make an impact. #ushealthcare #trust #betterhealth #consumerexperience #patientcare #patientexperience #care #healthcaredesign https://lnkd.in/g2kAeTki

Universal Healthcare Advocate | Technology and Global Health | Population Health program implementation
A recurring issue of LGUs in managing their heath care provider networks (HCPNs) is the proper use and accounting of their Special Health Funds (SHFs). A standard public financial management system should be devised by reviewing existing DOH/COA accounting rules for public health facilities and aligning these with new prospective and value based payment provisions of the UHC Law. Transparency and proper capture/reporting of financial data is key to successful UHC implementation and leveraging of economies of scale.
