🔥 Absolutely love this post! 🔥 Being a first-generation student, my experience playing baseball at the community college level paved the way for my Division 1 aspirations, my Bachelor's degree, and even a career in professional baseball. Now, I'm passionate about supporting and advocating for community college student-athletes. That's why I pursued my Masters in College Counseling and Student Development – to give back to students aiming for higher education and athletic success. If you're interested in how Community College Athletics impacts students, check out this post and share your thoughts below. #3C2A #CommunityCollegeAthletics #StudentAthletes #DreamBig #HigherEducation

When I think about the reason California Community Colleges and Santa Ana College means so much to our students, community, alum and to me personally, I think about the purpose around our mission to empower the most talented individuals. Santa Ana College Alum C.J. Wilson and former Angels Professional Baseball player and former Don player--awarded the California Junior College Co-Player of the Year award and I had a fun moment connecting a few years ago during Santa Ana College's 100th celebration. Seeing moments like this again remind me of love of the game of life and higher education and why it all matters so very much. C.J. Wilson

Christmas time in 5th Grade is the most exciting thing ever! The kids got to read about the history of Candy Canes and write about Christmas traditions around the world! I've learned a lot about lesson planning around the holidays, and how with a little bit of strategy, you can keep kids engaged by having them learn about the holidays! What's a good school, in your opinion? Here's our take. A place where learning closely meets individual values; A warm community where we forgive and repair relationships if broken; A place where any mistake is just a new lesson added to a long string of experiences; A place where only time travel is impossible - at least until we find out it isn't; A place where diversity doesn't divide us but unites us; A place where each of us can be unique, where we are all authentic in being different; A place where we learn not only formulas or facts but many interesting things about the world around us and how we can live a happy and fulfilling life. In the following days, we will take you on a virtual journey and show you what a day in the life of a student at Transylvania College looks like. Until then, what makes a good school for your children? 😊
