Historical Background of Lae's Major Rivers 1️⃣ BUMBU 🏞🌊 ➡️The Bumbu River originates from the Adzera Mountain Range and flows through various parts of Lae, including West and East Taraka, Kamkumung, Butibam, and Bumbu Settlement, before emptying into the Huon Gulf. ➡️Historically, the river has been a vital water source for local communities, although it faces challenges related to water quality and sanitation. ➡️The river's lower watershed covers parts of the Markham plain between the Highlands Highway and the Busu River. 2️⃣ BUSU🌊🏞 ➡️The Busu River starts in the Saruwaged Range and is known for being the fastest-flowing river in Papua New Guinea. ➡️It flows southeast through Lae and empties into the Huon Gulf near the city. ➡️The river has played a significant role in the region's history, particularly during World War II, when it posed a major obstacle to advancing Australian troops. 3️⃣ MARKHAM🏞🌊 ➡️The Markham River originates in the Finisterre Range and flows for about 180 km (110 miles) through the Central Depression, receiving tributaries like the Erap and Watut rivers, before reaching its mouth at the Huon Gulf, just south of Lae. ➡️The river was named in 1873 by Captain John Moresby in honor of Sir Clements Markham, then Secretary of the Royal Geographical Society. ➡️The Markham Valley, through which the river flows, has historically been an area of agricultural significance, supporting cocoa plantations and later peanut cultivation and cattle farming. Let our songs be more than notes and chords; let them be offerings—an echo of surrender, a chorus of praise.

My 2 cents Only.... ✅️Utilise Technological Advancements: invest in Digital Mixers for multitrack production on Sundays. Move into in-ear monitoring and MD using click track, guides. ✅️Be Open to Collaborations: Feature other artists in your song or project. We don't seem to do that often. ✅️Organize Songwriting Workshops: Let's digress from music concerts where we sing cover songs and move into creative writing of full and complete lyrical, musical arrangement. ✅️Access to Markets: Find a Digital Aggregator and use it. whether it's CD Baby, TuneCore, Distrokid or others. Also find a PRO to be affiliated to like Arpra armcos. ✅️Music Education: Register with Eyrie School. they are doing some great things. ✅️Have a Diverse Influences: Widen your lenses. Refresh the repertoire of music you have been listening to for the last 10 years. Maintain originality but get inspired by others. ✅️Artist /Band Development: Here is a Gap in PNG I see that needs to be addressed. I see Sonburnt doing it for Unique Bond recently. ✅️Feedback: Be humble enough to allow yourself to receive direct feedback and support from others around you or ahead of you, fostering adjustments on your craft and allowing room for Improvement and growth.

Where can I start? As someone who grew up deeply influenced by the worship from Integrity Music, I am smiling right now 😃 just reading this heartfelt tribute by Ron Kenoly to a friend and collaborator, Tom Brooks. The albums they produced and released were formative of my spiritual journey. No doubt, the connection Ron and Brooks shared in the studio to the stage (LIVE) seamlessly flowed with the spontaneous leading of the Holy Spirit, even when it meant deviating from the planned arrangements. My goodness 😳 Tom Brooks truly has the ability to intuit Ron's changes on-stage and guide the entire band to "adapt in the moment" "Lift Him Up" and "God is Able" Albums recorded over 3 decades ago, is a testament to this anointed and divine connection of those 2 - a standard that still inspires us today in 2024. Agree? Link to the Tribute from Ron Kenoly to Tom Brooks is here, He said it Himself: https://lnkd.in/gzwRaXQa

Romans 5:10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

REDEEMED BY HIS BLOOD "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace." It's a profound source of inspiration for creative expression and songwriting, celebrating Christ's redemptive work. It's a reminder that our art's ultimate purpose is to proclaim the redemptive sacrifice of Jesus. The themes of redemption, forgiveness, and grace should underpin the lyrics, melodies, and artistic expression we create. As believers, this verse anchors us, reminding us of the forgiveness and new life made possible through Christ - shaping our motivations, attitudes, and perseverance in our artistic calling. Let's create art that resounds with the powerful truth of being "Redeemed by His Blood."
