Egypt Western Desert field size distribution showed the following observations: 1-The Two (2) major gas condensate fields Obayied and Qasr Khatatba Safa reservoir Jurassic age were discovered in Shushan basin, OBA was discovered from 2D seismic while Qasr discovered from 3D seismic. Both fields have combination structures and stratigraphic traps OBA holds around 1.8 TCF and 100 MM bbls condensate while Qasr holds around 2 TCF and 50 MM bbls condensate 2- The six (6) major oil fields holds more than 100 MM bbls of oil for each are distributed as follows : Shushan : Al Salam and Meleiha Abu Al Ghardig : Abu Al Ghardig and Bed-1 Alamein : Alamein Guindi : Qarun Producing from the Cretaceous AR , Bah and Kharita sand reservoirs While Alamein field produce from Alamein dolomite carbonate Faghur and Siwa Paleozoic basins are under explored and have significant upside potential and might hold additional giant fields The efforts should concentrate on investigating two potential plays. An Ordovician–Silurian play concept is characterized by porous Ordovician sandstones as reservoir rocks, lower Silurian shales as cap rocks, and structural traps in fault blocks which are possibly related to Early Cretaceous extension

⚡ Turkey's Active Fault Map Has Been Updated! Which Cities Are More Risky? - General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA) shared the current active fault map. According to the renewed Türkiye Active Fault Map, there are 45 and 5,5 faults in XNUMX provinces across the country.

From 2010 to 2020, New Mexico averaged about five earthquakes >M3 per year. From 2021 to 2023, that number jumped to over 15. Through the first two months of this year, there have been three earthquakes >M3, on par with more recent trends in seismic activity. #injection #disposal #watermanagement #seismicity

Searcher’s available high-quality seismic data provides a clearer image of the structural and stratigraphic framework and also provides evidence of the existence of a viable petroleum system in the unexplored East Palawan and West Luzon Basins. Imaging of the deeper Paleogene and older strata, as well as better Neogene definition, enables the de-risking of the likely generative system.
