A Job-to-be-Done is a powerful tool that helps you focus your product on delivering outcomes for people, rather than just features. Understanding what the customer hopes to accomplish in a given circumstance can transform your approach to building coherent and meaningful experiences. For instance, Spotify excels at this by focusing on the job of "discovering new music." Instead of just offering a library of songs, Spotify curates personalized playlists and recommendations, helping users achieve their goal of finding music they love effortlessly. Knowing your customer's job-to-be-done is like having a superpower in product development. It guides you to create solutions that truly resonate with users. #Productdevelopment #Userexperience #Jobstobedone #Customerfocus

Spotify Wrapped is here—the annual tradition of discovering you spent 10,000 minutes listening to music, and somehow your most played song is still that “guilty pleasure” you’d rather not admit to anyone. Wrapped is a product experience that focuses on making “you” the star. It’s not about Spotify’s algorithms or tech—it’s about your moods, your moments, and your music. Whether it’s the heartbreak anthem you looped for weeks or the ‘lofi beats’ that got you through work chaos, Wrapped celebrates the journey you’ve had. It’s not, “Look what we did,” but, “Look what you accomplished.” That shift—from tech-centric to user-centric—is what makes it so memorable. The takeaway? Exceptional products don’t just serve a purpose—they build a connection, leaving users feeling seen, valued, and even a little proud. #SpotifyWrapped #ProductManagement #UserDelight #Storytelling

💚 Ek hi to dil hai Spotify, kitni baar jeetoge. 💚 Spotify is known for delightful experience. It adds small delicacies that make one love the platform more and more be it soothing interface, lyrics to accurate instant song search, artist info pages, videos in background etc. In the recently observed easter egg, I found that Spotify loves Star Wars. If you play some official Star Wars soundtrack, the music player is embellished with light sabers of Star Wars. And not just 1 or 2, but 7 of them. And each saber gets its own real color from the movies as well. These are the small UX delicacies of Spotify that keeps the users loyal. And it may exist for more songs, who knows. Have you experienced any? Share with us your knowledge. #spotify #uxdesign #starwars #easteregg #delight

Music has always been an integral part of my life. I fondly remember tuning in to the radio at night, eagerly waiting to catch some of my favorite songs. My love for music was deeply intertwined with my fascination for technology and innovative solutions. Despite this passion, accessing music from my favorite artists was often challenging and frustrating. That all changed when I discovered Spotify. The excitement I felt when I first encountered this platform was indescribable. Spotify's commitment to delivering a personalized music experience and the dynamic content available truly resonated with me. It's not just about listening to music; it's about experiencing the world through melodies, rhythms, and lyrics. My passion for creating user-focused solutions aligns perfectly with Spotify's mission. I am driven by the desire to enhance user experiences, and managing a product like Spotify would allow me to blend my love for music and technology seamlessly. Spotify is more than just an app; it's a portal that connects people globally, sharing the universal language of music. I am excited at the potential to work on the team of such an impactful product. #ProductManagement #productdive #Spotify #MusicLover #TechSolutions #UserExperience #TechTuesday #productmanagement #productmanager #product #5daysLinkedInchallenge #ppmproducdive #ppmatproductdive

🎵 Ever wondered how Spotify seems to 'get you' right from the start? Let's peek behind the AI curtain! 🤖 As a PM, I've been fascinated by how Spotify tackles the 'cold start' problem - recommending music to brand new users. Here's the tea ☕️ 1️⃣ Smart Onboarding: Quick questions about your fav artists and genres 2️⃣ Demographic Insights: Using basic info to make educated guesses 3️⃣ Trending Tunes: Starting with popular tracks to gauge your reaction 4️⃣ Contextual Awareness: Time of day? Check. Day of week? You bet. 5️⃣ Rapid Learning: Every skip and like shapes your profile What impresses me most is how the algorithm is tuning the list based on multiple factors like (listening time, no of plays of a song etc) What was your experience when you first joined Spotify? Did it nail your music taste right away, or did it take some time? Let's discuss! 👇 PS - I currently use Youtube for my music needs but move to Spotify when I'm feeling a bit adventerous & need to expand my taste! #MusicTech

🎵 As the year winds down, everyone’s buzzing about their Spotify Wrapped! 🎧 As Spotify Wrapped drops, it’s a reminder of how music connects us, inspires us, and even reflects who we are. This year, my top tracks and artists showed me more than just my listening habits—they reminded me of the power of storytelling and rhythm in every aspect of life, including work. In both music and professional life, collaboration and creativity are the keys to meaningful outcomes. My 2024 goal is to bring more of that energy into my work—where ideas flow seamlessly, much like the perfect playlist. Here’s to wrapping up the year on a high note and stepping into the next with purpose and rhythm. What did your Spotify Wrapped teach you this year? In 2006, Spotify was just an idea sketched on paper. The vision? Seamless music access with playlists, search, and user logins. The plan? Start small, refine, and iterate. The reality? By 2008, Spotify launched, and today, it’s a global music giant with 500M+ users and 100M+ tracks. The takeaway? Billion-dollar ideas don’t start big. They start messy, with rough sketches and bold dreams. Your foundation determines your future. Start small, dream big, and never stop iterating. #SpotifyJourney #Innovation #DreamBigStartSmall

It’s Spotify Wrapped season! For independent artists, there’s nothing better than seeing your music in someone’s year-end stats. If you’re just starting, getting your first 1,000 streams might feel far off, but it’s more achievable than you think—and it’s the first step to making your Wrapped-worthy journey. Start by claiming your Spotify for Artists profile. It gives you key tools like pitching to playlists and understanding your audience. Next, focus on quality—great mastering can make your tracks stand out, even on a budget. The real magic? Your network. Share your music with friends, family, and your community, and don’t be shy about asking for streams and shares. Fellow artists can also help with playlist swaps and shoutouts that broaden your reach. If you’re working with a distributor like Paradise Worldwide, don’t forget to tap into the tools and support. Whether it’s insights on pitching or promotional opportunities, your distributor can be a key part of your journey. This time next year, you could be looking back at your Spotify Wrapped with pride. Every artist starts somewhere—keep pushing, and your moment will come! 🎶 #IndependentArtists #SpotifyWrapped
