It was great fun to be on a panel with former congressman Mike Gallagher and moderated by Ansley Erdel to talk about AI, Geopolitics, and the Future of Tech Policy at the Rise of the Rest Beyond Silicon Valley Summit yesterday. In my view the biggest challenge with building effective policy around AI is doing so in a way that doesn’t count on the industry to regulate itself but also doesn’t erode our competitive advantage with peer nations. AI may well end up being the most complex topic that policy has every been built around.
