[New acquisition ✍️] VINCI finalizes the acquisition of the Northwest Parkway section of the Denver ring road (Colorado, USA) - Financial closing of the acquisition of 100% of the Northwest Parkway section of the Denver ring road (Colorado, USA) - A major acquisition for VINCI Concessions in the USA - A high-quality asset: very long concession term, robust regulatory framework, strong potential for operational synergies VINCI Concessions, via its subsidiary VINCI Highways, has finalized the acquisition of 100% of NWP HoldCo LLC, the concession company for Northwest Parkway, a 14 km tolled section of the Denver ring road (Colorado), for around $1.2bn (equity value at 100%). First major acquisition for VINCI Concessions in the USA, this transaction fits within VINCI Group’s strategy to strengthen its presence in North America. Northwest Parkway is a strongly performing asset with substantial growth potential ahead. VINCI Highways will apply its expertise to optimize management of the infrastructure by bringing some services back in-house, to improve user experience and travel time reliability thanks to levers such as variable tolling.

Mergers & Acquisitions - SSE plc rebuys M&E specialist Enerveo after sale in 2021 Power giant SSE has bought back the Enerveo electrical contracting business it sold three years ago from the original buyer Aurelius Group. SSE sold the £257m turnover business, then known as SSE Contracting, in June 2021. But the investment firm found it challenging to operate rebranded Enerveo as an independent business. During this period Enervo suffered accumulated reported pre-tax losses of £37m in the two years to April 2023. The losses stemmed from legacy projects in non-core industries and £14.6m is separation costs relating to rebranding and setting up standalone HR, IT and finance functions. A further exceptional cost of £6.7m was incurred to cover redundancy and legal costs as the directors attempted to streamline loss-making operations. This saw average staff headcount falling by over a fifth to around 1,440. Following the repurchase, SSE said it would now work with Enerveo management to conduct a through review. This will develop and then implement a longer-term strategy for each part of the business. Enerveo offers a range of services including mechanical, electrical, high voltage, electric vehicle infrastructure installation, test and inspection services, as well street lighting. https://lnkd.in/etpfmADJ

Trailers play a critical role in complex supply chain networks by meeting customers’ needs for operational and contractual flexibility. TEN is North America’s second largest full- service trailer lessors with a combined fleet of over 83,000 trailers with locations across most major logistics hubs. Rebranded “TEN” earlier this year, I Squared’s build out of this trailer-leasing platform began in March 2021 with the acquisition of Star Leasing and subsequent acquisitions of Cooling Concepts in May 2022, North East Trailer Services (NETS) in July 2023 and Commercial Trailer Leasing (CTL) in September 2023. The combined group provides services including integrated leasing, maintenance, advanced technological solutions, consultation services and innovative fleet electrification offerings across numerous industry verticals. In building the TEN platform, I Squared has improved purchasing power and clarified strategic objectives for the firm. Since the platform build out started, TEN has now more than quadrupled in size thanks to strong organic growth and this series of tuck-in acquisitions.
