As the leaves change and the air turns crisp, here are some things for your business to consider: 🦃 Holiday Planning: Start planning for upcoming holidays! Consider offering special promotions, holiday-themed products, and gift ideas. 🍂 Product Offerings: Introduce seasonal products and services that cater to autumn. This could include seasonal menu items, clothing lines, or home decor. 🌳 Outdoor Events: If applicable, consider hosting outdoor events or activities that take advantage of the pleasant fall weather. This could include outdoor dining, festivals, or charity runs. 🤝 Seasonal Partnerships: Collaborate with other businesses to create joint promotions or events centered around the fall season. 🌦 Weather-Related Contingency Plans: Depending on your location, be prepared for weather-related disruptions, such as storms or temperature drops, and have contingency plans in place. 👥 Employee Morale: Boost employee morale with team-building activities or incentives, as the fall season can be a busy and sometimes stressful time for businesses. #shadowher #supportingbusinesses #supportingeachother Marcia Zaruba O'Connor Amy Cobb Meghan Popoleo (Sherry) Barbara Rader Elyse Lupin Ginny Palmieri, MBA (she/her) Ashley Seiler Nicole Caniglia

Tumbleweed Tips for planning post-funeral gathering or receptions. 1. Consider the Attendees' Needs When planning a post-funeral gathering, think about who will be attending and what they might need. Some guests may be traveling from out of town and could benefit from information on local accommodations or transport. Others might have dietary restrictions, so offering a variety of food options is thoughtful. Remember, this event is for the attendees to find comfort and share memories, so their needs should be at the forefront. 2. Choose an Appropriate Venue Select a venue that reflects the personality of the person you're honoring. It could be a favorite restaurant, a family home, or a peaceful outdoor space. Make sure the venue can comfortably accommodate your group and has the necessary facilities. Accessibility is also key—ensure that everyone, including those with mobility issues, can attend without difficulty. 3. Plan for a Flexible Timeline Post-funeral gatherings often don't follow a strict schedule. People may arrive and leave at different times based on their emotional state and other commitments. Plan for a flexible timeline with no pressure for guests to stay for a set period. It's also helpful to have a few people ready to help coordinate on the day, so you can focus on connecting with others and honoring your loved one. #EndOfLifePlanning #TumbleweedTips #Tumbleweed #TumbleweedPlan

📣 Meet our Team! 📣 Next up is our Office Admin, Jessica Jolley. Jess has worked for the Structures Group for 2 years and lives in Pennington with her husband Lloyd, two young children and our office dog Jasper. 🐾 1) Describe your job in three words. Busy, fulfilling, challenging. 2) What’s the most interesting thing you’re working on right now? I’m currently organising some of our social value commitments for next year, which means the year’s nearly over and Christmas is around the corner! It’s my favourite time of year, and I’m excited to be organising some Christmas outings, Christmas gifts etc. It’s much more fun than invoicing! 🎄 3) Best thing about being part of the Structures Team? The people I work with and the work we do in the community. 4) Worst thing about being part of the Structures Team? Someone’s always hungry, which means we’re constantly ordering food to the office. It’s hard to resist! You bring your own dinner, then order something, and end up eating two dinners! 🍔 5) Who would you most like to swap places with for the day? Kris Jenner. 6) What did you want to grow up to be when you were a kid? A teacher. I was a primary school teacher for 6/7 years before having my children and joining the family business. 👨👩👧👦 7) What’s your favourite film? Aladdin. 8) Website you visit the most? SMYTHS Toys and Amazon. 🎈 9) What does your ideal weekend look like? A weekend spent with my family at our caravan in Wales, especially when it’s sunny! I love spending days out with the kids and being on the go, then chilling in front of a film at night. 10) What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you? There’s far too many embarrassing stories to choose from, and most of them aren’t fit for sharing, but jumping on the Leigh rugby bandwagon and going to an away match, then having to sit at the front of the coach on the way home because I was being sick is probably up there. 🏉 11) What’s your favourite food? Italian and Sunday roast. 12) Tell us something we don’t know? I started writing a Children’s book earlier this year, but life’s been so busy I haven’t finished it. It’s 80% there and my New Year’s resolution is to finish it and get it illustrated and printed. If anybody can point me in the way of an illustrator and publisher that could help, that would be greatly appreciated! I don’t even know where to begin. ❤ Wayne Jolley Lloyd Jolley Kane Winnard Mark Samuels BSc (Hons) MCIOB Elliot Cole John Harrison Toni Howarth Rachel Leahy STRUCTURES GROUP 🔴⚫️⚪️ 📱 01942 684772 📧 office@structures.co.uk 🌐 www.structures.co.uk #structuresgroup #restoringthepast #buildingthefuture #meettheteam #workfamily #12questions

More #GenZ are attending #socialdinnerparties to combat #loneliness. Some young adults are finding #postcollegelife challenging, especially in a #remotework setup. So, they’re joining social dining events organized by groups like The Girls NYC, Skip the Small Talk, Bestie Brunch, the Aperitivo Society, and the Dinner Party Project. These gatherings aim to fight loneliness among Gen Z by connecting people over #themedmeals. While some attendees have formed meaningful #friendships, some can still find it difficult to establish a #deepconnection. Despite mixed results, participants remain optimistic, viewing these events as opportunities for potential friendships and connection in an increasingly isolated world.

Hello Brunch Club! 🌟 Today, I want to talk about something near and dear to my heart: navigating the sometimes daunting world of networking after a hiatus. We've all been there, right? Whether it's taking a break to focus on personal growth, switching careers, or simply needing a breather, jumping back into the networking game can feel like trying to ride a bike after years of not touching one. That's exactly why I decided to start the Westchester Brunch Club. 🥂 It's not just about delicious food and mimosas (although those are definite perks!), but it's about creating a comfortable space where individuals, like you and me, can feel at ease stepping back into the networking arena or enter for the first time. The truth is, re-entering the scene can stir up all sorts of emotions – from self-doubt to feeling out of place. But guess what? You're not alone. The Westchester Brunch Club is here to provide that supportive environment where you can dust off those handshakes, exchange stories, and forge new connections without the pressure. So, if you're ready to conquer those roadblocks and rediscover the joy of networking, why not join us at our next brunch? Let's transform those awkward introductions into memorable conversations and those handshakes into lasting connections. Here's to embracing new beginnings together! 🥂✨ #NetworkingRevival #BrunchAndBonding #thewestchesterbrunchclub #NetworkingRevival #BrunchAndBonding #CommunityConnections #NetworkingJourney #CareerConnections #ProfessionalGrowth #SupportiveNetworking #BuildingConnections #NetworkTogether #EmpoweredNetworking

Reimagining the Office Christmas Party: Embrace the Change! Traditionally, Christmas parties have centred around three-course sit-down meals. But as budgets tighten and companies seek fresh, engaging experiences, standing receptions featuring street food, canapés, and bowl food are on the rise. And it’s easy to see why! ✨ More Social Interaction: Standing events encourage mingling, allowing team members to interact with a wider range of colleagues rather than just those at their table. 🍲 Budget-Friendly Yet Delicious: Street food and bowl food not only stretch the budget further but also bring character to the event. Partnering with smaller, independent caterers means better food without breaking the bank. What's not to like? 🏢 Flexibility for Larger Groups: For larger groups (200+), finding a venue for a sit-down meal can be challenging. Standing events open up a wider range venue options, making planning smoother and more flexible. 💡 Smart Savings: The cost savings from a standing reception can be allocated to other elements of the event, like entertainment, multiple catering providers, or a more generous bar spend. Something to consider when thinking about your Christmas Party!
