From whack to kick-butt copy with a dash of SEO ✨ | Creative Copywriter and Digital Marketing Strategist for Black and Latina Women-owned Beauty Brands
We're back and we're better with another #WCW 😍 Before we jump into it, I want to address this: "Does the copy and where it's located on my beauty product matter?" I think y'all already know my answer. It's 100000% a yes. This week I want to highlight Aris Singleton and Thank God It's Natural (tgin) ✨ I was perusing my favorite Target aisle - the hair care 💁🏻♀️ I was looking for a leave-in conditioner. And as we all know, the options are endless. It didn't take me long to throw tgin's Miracle RepaiRx in my cart. That was because everything I needed to know about what it would do for my hair and how it would make my hair feel was on the front! (Genius if I may say 🧠) Seems simple, but the majority of the products in that aisle did not have this description on the front. They had it on the back, which I totally get! Having it on the back is not a bad choice. But that placement may not be the most effective if your goal is to get your dream customer to throw it in the bag 🛍 Tgin's description also used very captivating language. It literally made me go 😯 I felt something! Humans are emotional creatures and this is a beautiful thing. We have to embrace speaking to our audience's hearts and not just their minds and pockets. Which of your fav beauty brands have stellar copy on their bottles? ⬇️ ___________________ (30 minutes + 100% free) – strings attached = clarity. Business Marketing|Passionate about digital marketing| driving business growth through innovative marketing strategies: Let's Connect and Elevate Your Brand!| Open for work #DareToDreamBig #CreateConnectCollaborate
Came across this interesting videos discussing Beyoncé's new haircare line and couldn't help but notice the diverse opinions. Despite Beyonce massive influence, there seems to be a mix of feelings among consumers. It's fascinating to see how marketing strategies and authentic connections impact consumer perceptions. Let's dive into this beauty conversation! While many consumer like the packaging, not everyone agrees on the price. This caught my interest because, compared to other popular luxury brands, the price difference isn't huge. However, consumers trust those brands more due to positive reviews and established trust. I think showing Beyoncé using the product in a more genuine setting, without the usual glamour, could change consumers opinion. Some consumers used Fenty Beauty's success, as an example which I thought was a great example consumers found Rihanna relatable her authentic approach, trying products in her bathroom, resonates with consumers. This authenticity builds trust and a bond with the consumers. 🔍 Question for You: Will you be trying Beyoncé's new haircare line, and what are your thoughts on the recent discussions? 🛍️ #BeautyTalks #ConsumerInsights #ProductOpinions https://lnkd.in/ebvxXPnd

Epic storytelling strategies that help fashion, beauty, luxury and lifestyle brands become and remain iconic.
When does it make sense to name a girly product after...boys? 💅👦 In the era of Cara Delevigne, that's when. When Glossier, Inc. dropped Boy Brow in 2015, we knew the #beautyindustry would never be the same again, but was it the product or the story that changed the game? 🤨 Let's investigate. 👩👩 At the time, "feathered" was the preferred brow look, à la the Olsen Twins. I didn't make this up, it's outlined in an Into the Gloss article titled "The Big Brow Timeline" which also excavates "Instagram eyebrows," "tadpole brow" and "babe brow," in an era-spanning revue of eyebrow looks. Indeed, this was peak brow. Benefit Cosmetics had laid the groundwork in the post-Y2K brow craze, opening its first Brow Bar in Los Angeles in 2003. A decade later, grooming and tweezing seemed fussy and cheugy, if that were a word at the time, which it wasn't. Anyway, by 2015, we all just wanted brows like a boy's—Boy Brow! 💡 Delevigne was certainly an inspiration but the real Boy Brow muses were the Colin Farrells and Jared Letos of the world—Into the Gloss told us so. ♀️♂️ The name also hit perfectly at a time when "gender-fluid" was exploding into the mainstream. Giving something girly in a feminine-forward industry a masculine name was so on-trend it hurt. Boy Brow was out of nowhere and obvious at the same time. It was iconic in that way where it felt like it had always existed, and yet was somehow completely fresh. Oh, and the product was good, too. _____ What #iconicproduct name just makes you love the brand behind it? ✨

😊 If you're my age, you likely had or coveted this cult classic in a shimmery peach shade in the early aughts. On the heels the newly reformulated product launch, Allure asks. Did the Nars Blush Need to Be Reformulated? My answer, from a technical perspective probably not. But the pressure to replace talc is high. There are many ingredients being marketed as alternatives but the best option in my professional opinion from cost, color impact, and functional perspectives is sericite mica (NOT muscovite). #cosmeticchemist #cosmeticscience #colorcosmetics #colorexpert #fillers #beautyindustrynews #businessofbeauty
