As we close out Dry Eye Awareness Month, AOS will continue to spread awareness about this condition. Together, we can make a significant impact on people's lives by: 🔍 Increasing awareness: Share educational content on your social media platforms, website, and in your practice. Inform your patients about the signs, symptoms, and available treatments for dry eye. 🤝 Collaborating: Partner with local organizations, support groups, and fellow healthcare professionals to organize events, webinars, or workshops on dry eye management. Encourage discussions and knowledge-sharing. 🌐 Utilizing technology: Integrate our software into your practice to provide comprehensive assessments, track progress, and optimize treatment plans. Embrace innovation to enhance patient care and outcomes. 💡 Empowering patients: Educate individuals about self-care strategies, lifestyle adjustments, and preventive measures they can adopt to manage dry eye symptoms effectively. Provide them with the resources they need to take charge of their eye health. Together, we can raise awareness, improve patient care, and make a difference in the lives of those affected by dry eye. Let's continue to collaborate to ensure that individuals suffering from this condition receive the support they deserve. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to eye care. I’ve always thought that the “great consolidation” amongst health systems will lead to large regional Kaiser-esque models, where the payors, clinicians, and facilities are integrated. What’s really interesting about Jaewon Ryu’s statement below is he says Geisinger is the “first inaugural member.” That makes me think Risant Health isn’t done, it wasn’t just a singular acquisition, but will be the first of many other “member” organizations that will lead to a huge conglomerate across the nation. What do you think? Am I reading into this too much? Or will Risant rival HCA + UHC in its ability to gain market share through vertical integration of clinical and health plan assets?
Our founder, Abigail Geisinger, famously said to “make my hospital right; make it the best.” In 1915, that meant building the best hospital and having the best doctors and nurses. Today, making it the best also means having the best technology, digital tools, data and analytics, creating the best consumer experience, and so much more – all coming together to deliver the best care possible to improve the health of our communities. That is why Geisinger is proud to formally join Risant Health as its inaugural member, which will accelerate our vision to make better health easier for the communities we serve here in Pennsylvania and to be a part of a solution that we believe can transform health care in America. And we are excited to join in that path with Kaiser Permanente, a world-class organization and kindred spirit that has long been the gold standard in positively impacting the health of populations and communities. But none of this would be possible without the tremendous foundation that has been built here over so many years by so many people, to make Geisinger a leader in advancing the best health of communities. Big shout-out and thanks to our team members, our board of directors, and our communities that support us and entrust us with their health. It is truly an exciting day for us as we enter this bright future ahead.

Rural Healthcare is at risk! Sixty five Million people live in rural America, and depend on rural healthcare. Access and equity have long been an issue in rural America, and many specialty services are simply not available in these communities, however the basic access to emergency services, behavioral health, and primary care are now at risk. One in five Americans do not have access to medical specialists/specialties within their communities (think Heart, Brain, Cancer, Surgery, etc.), sometimes being required to drive hundreds of miles to access this care. With the closure of more and more rural hospitals access to primary care and general wellness care are disappearing. I encourage everyone to watch this new documentary. #Ruralhealth, #CriticalAccessHospitals, #EnnobleMD, #PalliativeCare https://lnkd.in/g3W_T5Dh Flatlinefilm.com/share

I help healthcare innovators achieve clinical acceptance. | Improving patient outcomes founded on quality patient-centered evidence based clinical data.
TELE-CRITICAL CARE is almost 25 years old. I am proud of having helped developed, implement and expand the first platform in this area into a global form of care delivery decreasing mortality in tens of thousands of patients. I review the evolution, changes and remaining potholes of tele-critical care in this just published perspective article. What are your experiences and comments?
