A striking statistic has come to my attention: only 17% of tech CEOs are women. This number is more than just a statistic; it's a reflection of the challenges women face in the tech industry, especially in leadership roles.
This issue hits close to home, as my wife often reminds me of the obstacles our daughter might face. Life is indeed hard, particularly for women striving to break barriers in their careers.
🚀 At Tele911 we're committed to changing this narrative. We proudly stand as the only platform where women, especially those with children in emergency medicine, can practice without facing the obstacles typically encountered in traditional settings. We don't just accommodate when they have children; we embrace and celebrate their contributions.
The common misconception is that women might underperform in such demanding roles. However, what we've witnessed at Tele911 is the complete opposite. Our female physicians/colleagues consistently demonstrate exceptional performance, driven by a profound gratitude for the opportunity to excel professionally while managing their personal responsibilities.
💪 To all the women at Tele911: Your strength, dedication, and resilience inspire us daily. You are not just fulfilling a role; you are setting a precedent and breaking down barriers for future generations of women in tech.

"75% of female executives have reported experiencing imposter syndrome at some point in their careers!..."
👩💼 Despite evident success, persistent self-doubt and inadequacy are notably prevalent among women in tech. This phenomenon, called imposter syndrome, often leads to constant overachievement and stress, as women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) struggle with the fear of being exposed as a “fraud.”
💼 Addressing imposter syndrome affects individual well-being and impacts team dynamics, innovation, and productivity. Women who overcome these feelings can fully embrace their expertise and contributions, leading to a more diverse, inclusive, and thriving workplace.

"We all know someone who is neurodiverse even if we don’t realise it and we need to make sure people don’t face needless barriers." Keri Gilder, CEO at Colt Technology Services and #ChangeTheFace alliance member.
Organisations need to evaluate their culture’s impact, making adjustments to support neurodivergent employees effectively.

What did you do this weekend? I read a great 📔 book. Does anyone else think Clarissa Pinkola Estés' book, "Women Who Run With Wolves" aligns well with #womenintech?
My Top 5 highlights with a #wit lens:
1. Rediscovering the Wild Woman Archetype:
For women in tech, the Wild Woman archetype symbolizes the untamed, innovative spirit crucial for thriving in a fast-paced, constantly evolving industry. Embracing this archetype encourages women to trust their instincts, take bold risks, and drive creativity in their work. By reconnecting with this inner wildness, women in tech can harness their full potential and bring transformative ideas to the forefront.
2. #Healing through #Stories and Myths:
In the male-dominated tech world, stories and myths about powerful female figures can be a source of inspiration and empowerment. By sharing and listening to narratives of women who have overcome challenges and made significant contributions to tech, women can find solidarity, motivation, and a sense of belonging. These stories act as a reminder of their intrinsic worth and the collective strength of women in the industry.
3. Challenging Societal Constraints:
The tech industry often imposes societal constraints that stifle women's creativity and leadership potential. Estés' message encourages women in tech to challenge these limitations and resist conforming to restrictive roles. By advocating for themselves and others, women can create a more inclusive and supportive environment that values #diverse perspectives and fosters innovation.
4. The Lexicon of the Female Psyche:
Estés' new language for the female psyche can help women in tech articulate their unique experiences, #strengths, and challenges. Understanding and communicating the life-giving, creative forces they bring to the industry can help in redefining success and leadership in tech. This lexicon empowers women to celebrate their #achievements and advocate for systemic changes that recognize and reward their contributions.
5. Magic and Medicine for the Soul:
The Wild Woman archetype offers both magic and medicine for women in tech, providing the inner strength and resilience needed to navigate a demanding field. Embracing this archetype can help women manage stress, combat burnout, and maintain a sense of purpose and passion in their work. By tapping into this wellspring of inner knowledge and power, women can find fulfillment and drive positive change in the tech industry.
Nowadays, technology is developing at the speed of light and this development is creating a new reality for all of us. We are creating such an environment, where our own factor decreases every day.
The panel discussion would not have been successful without our speakers. Special thanks to the speakers of the panel discussion on Women and Modern Professions for their presence, experiences and observations.
