Founded in 1895, the charity manages over 500 historic sites, including UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and attracts millions of visitors annually. Already, 40% of its menus are plant-based, but the proposal to increase this to 50% will be voted on by its 5.37 million members, with the final decision made at the AGM on November 2, 2024.
