It's a weird market.... unemployment is low, job orders have softened and it's harder than we can remember. It's odd, it's an anomaly but you can grow. I know of one of the largest IT firms who grew in every downturn up to Covid, I know a local company that doubled in '08-'09. It's possible. Work harder AND smarter. Have great focus and fortitude. We can apply a lot of platitudes to our situation but in the end it takes an unbeatable sense of urgency and uncommon effort to win. Every. Single. Day. I could not be more #proud of the Randstad Life Sciences US team for posting their 3rd straight quarter of sequential #growth for 2023 and ALSO year-over-year growth. Not only are we growing but the expansion of our fsp (functional service provider) business has continued double digit growth. Thank you for believing in growth and executing. Let's keep it rolling into 2024 and more GROWTH! Growth is good... #sales, #focus, #management, #leadership, #culture, #pharmajobs Randstad, Randstad Sourceright

You're right. It might have to look harder and in different places but huge opportunities exist in every market. Congratulations for proving that concept to be true!

Unemployment is measured by people who are currently getting unemployment insurance benefits from their state; some of us who own our own business do not qualify or how many have already used up benefits, this # is sooo misleading and untrue, when a job posts and there are 100+ applicants within a few hours, unemployment is Not Low. Job orders may be low due to the extreme inflation rate and cost of borrowing money, Yes i'm sure there are plenty out there fat and happy and think Biden is a great president, as the printed deflationary dollars fall out of D.C.; but then there are smart people. We have a financial system that thinks its a demand problem, when its a supply problem. Yes banks charging higher interest rates will curb demand, but how does it help regular Americans to increase interest rates on borrowing money for houses, cars, credit cards, etc. it doesn't, it helps banks. even when the Fed lending rates were near zero, banks didn't lend money to people, they played with stocks. Yes location is a factor, because no one wants to live in D.C. Metro or Boston or San Fran or LA. and why would they? We think of inflation only in terms of, "it costs more" true, but why? because the dollar is only worth .65 cents.

Good thoughts and congrats on the nice work. One thought. I believe unemployment is actually much higher than is being stated. In 2022 in the US only 26 percent of unemployed people who had worked in the previous 12 months applied for unemployment insurance benefits since separating from their last job. (Stat from BLS).
