I help driven women to heal from anxiety, burnout, and depression, and embrace their feminine energy through a holistic approach. Guided 33+ women on their journeys of self-discovery.
April is much more than just a transition from spring to summer. (And you don’t want to miss it) It's a powerful month dedicated to raising awareness on several critical issues. Issues that affect our loved ones, society and planet. During this Awareness Month, we shine a spotlight on: → Earth Month → Stress Awareness Month → Autism Acceptance Month → Child Abuse Prevention Month → Parkinson's Disease Awareness Month → Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) Awareness is the first step toward change. By educating ourselves and others about these issues, we foster: → Support → Empathy → Understanding These observances remind us of the struggles many face and the importance of our health. Participation can take many forms, tailored to your interests, capabilities, and resources. Here are some ways to get involved: 1. Educate yourself and others ↳ Share information, articles, and resources about these issues with others. Knowledge is power. 2. Support non-profits ↳ Donate to organizations working tirelessly on these fronts. Your financial support can fuel important research and advocacy. 3. Attend events ↳ Many organizations host virtual and in-person events during April. Participating can deepen your understanding and connect you with like-minded individuals. 4. Volunteer work ↳ Volunteer your time with local organizations making a difference. 5. Personal commitment ↳ Engage in personal acts of kindness and understanding. April is a special month where we remember that when we all work together, we can do really great things for each other. The most important thing you can do is to think about how you're feeling and how the people around you are feeling too. Sometimes, we might not notice what's really happening with others. So, always try to be thoughtful, friendly, and kind. How will you participate this April? P.S. This video says it all without words. __ Breathe in. Breathe out. Repost and comment below. Working in the charity sector often feels like attempting a rooftop trampoline jump, only to have gravity intervene. But today wasn't one of those days. Small wins keep me and the Radical Recruit team going. Todays win was reconnecting with a young Radical who is full of potential but has, for the last few years, faced self-imposed barriers. Limiting beliefs and the tendency to self sabotage so whatever ‘good’ was happening couldn’t be taken away from him. The cycle is real. It’s also incredibly sad and a huge waste of human life. Anyway, I attended a counselling session with him and the incredible Dr. Dharshi of Leap Psychology, who generously supports our cause pro bono. (She’s a real life angel) My role was to outline the challenges as I see them to help get the conversation started. I’ve no doubt most of what I said wasn’t easy to hear. And yet, he stayed and he engaged. Despite the discomfort he must have felt. After I downloaded my brain and left the call be and Dr Dharshi got to work. They spent time discussing my comments, agreeing priorities for their future sessions and planned how they’d use theor time together. In just 15 minutes, we made a big impact. While many issues demand hours of effort and very often can’t be solved despite our best efforts, moments like this, a brief conversation to guide someone back on track, make it all worthwhile. A timely reminder to take stock and celebrate even the smallest of wins. Trust me, it’s good for your soul. Happy Tuesday, folks. https://lnkd.in/eFj6SwQ4

Critical thinking is essential when it comes to unpacking the pain that makes forgiveness elusive. Two distinctions that are often linked are -the decision to forgive -and the experience of emotional forgiveness. To explore these high-level concepts, Seth Godin and Christena Cleveland will be joining me July 9 in honor of Global Forgiveness Day. This conversation, which is with two people I deeply admire, is a collaboration with Discover Forgiveness. It's a digital hub that focuses on the science of forgiveness through the Templeton World Charity Foundation. What a joy and honor to participate. More details to come. #leadership #criticalthinking #forgiveness

CEO of Gloetry | Facilitator | Executive Coach | Fibroid Expeller| I support courageous individuals and visionary orgs to heal from the inside-out, in order to embody a paradigm rooted in peace, compassion and safety.
Announcing our next healing circle for BIPOC female and femme leaders within the non-profit and education sectors! Description: You + Safety What is your relationship with feeling safe? With feeling safe in your work environment, in the USA and in your relationships? Do you feel safe to speak your truth or to be in your full power? What role might early childhood experiences play in your relationship with feeling safe? What might be possible in your life if you had a profound and real sense of safety? For our last healing circle with Gloetry, we will explore what it means to feel safe. Feeling safe by loved ones and the larger society, affirms our humanity, opens our hearts, and acknowledges the spirit within us. When we feel safe, we are able to breathe, relax and be at ease. We can fully receive the present moment we are in. When we do not feel safe, we are tense, on edge and stressed. Living in the constant state of feeling unsafe causes one to always scan for threat, amplifying anxiety and distrust of others. Being BIPOC folks working and living in the USA, a PWI in and of itself, can be traumatizing in ways we may not even be fully aware of. Through storytelling and conscious listening, we will reflect on our experiences with feeling safe, witness each other, and support each other in our healing journey. We will take into consideration generational trauma, parental aspects, societal messaging and conditioning as well as cultural influences that may have impacted your ability to really feel safe. Read more at https://lnkd.in/gHtxHwaK RSVP Deadline: Wednesday April 10th Date: Wednesday April 17th Time: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM EST Cost: $125 Registration link: https://lnkd.in/gdSJRCyD

I hope you can join us at the next Wholeness Circle event! A healthy boundary defines what is and is not ok with me, and acting in accordance with that knowledge. Establishing boundaries can pose challenges. At this event, we will focus on Julianne Taylor Shore's six-step approach to crafting and implementing executed boundaries. In addition, we will explore psychological and containing boundaries along the way. We will delve into the understanding of the 11 neurologically-based Wholeness Companions inherent in each of us. Subsequently, we will engage with these companions as part of a practical exercise in boundary creation.

New leadership can make existing teams nervous, so if you're the new boss, take time to introduce yourself -- letting them know about your personal and professional life -- then go on a "listening tour," holding one-on-one meetings to get to know them and allay their fears, write Michael Lee Stallard and Katharine P. Stallard. "Leaders at high levels need to be particularly mindful of reaching out to not only their direct reports but also to those further down their chain of command to introduce themselves and begin establishing rapport," the Stallards write
"Two out of five CEOs fail in their first eighteen months according to the Harvard Business Review, and it’s not their experience or expertise to blame; it’s their lack of people skills and inability to build the necessary relationships with the key points of contact in the company. " Come join my peer support group for new or aspiring nonprofit CEO's. It is a small group of no more than 8 people, a safe space to discuss issues with staff, Board, volunteers and donors. Sessions begin on May 8, 2024 4-5pm. $350 per month for two sessions each month. Link https://lnkd.in/ex22Aj5e
