Power of Generative AI Using Google Gemini Pro API. Generative AI, exemplified by Google's Gemini, plays a transformative role in the domain of food innovation by enabling the creation of nutritionally balanced and health-focused dietary solutions. Through advanced machine learning algorithms, Gemini has the capability to analyze vast datasets related to human nutrition, dietary guidelines, and bioavailability of nutrients. By understanding the intricate relationships between various components in food, Gemini can generate novel and optimized food formulations that cater to specific health requirements. This technology allows for the synthesis of foods that are not only delicious but also tailored to provide essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals in precise proportions. Gemini considers factors such as dietary restrictions, allergies, and individual health goals, creating personalized and health-conscious food options. The generative nature of Gemini facilitates the exploration of innovative combinations and formulations that go beyond traditional approaches to food production. In the context of human health, generative AI can contribute to addressing nutritional deficiencies, promoting overall well-being, and supporting specific dietary needs. For instance, it can be instrumental in developing plant-based alternatives with optimal protein profiles, creating low-sugar formulations, or even customizing meals for individuals with unique health considerations. Moreover, Gemini can play a crucial role in checking food calories and identifying unhealthy components. By leveraging its analytical capabilities, it can assess the nutritional content of generated foods, helping individuals make informed choices about their dietary intake. This feature is particularly valuable for those aiming to manage their weight or adhere to specific calorie targets. Additionally, the AI can analyze and flag unhealthy food options, taking into account factors such as high levels of saturated fats, sugars, or sodium. This capability empowers users to make conscious decisions by providing insights into the potential health impacts of their food choices. Furthermore, the continuous learning capabilities of generative AI ensure that food formulations evolve with emerging scientific research, dietary trends, and individual health insights. This adaptive approach to food creation not only enhances the nutritional quality of our diets but also aligns with evolving health consciousness and sustainability goals. This video shows how you can upload different Images of food and the app will give response whether the food is health or unhealthy. we have used #generatieveai #machinelearning #datascientist #llms #nlp #deeplearning

Transparency in AI: Learning from Nutrition Labels When it comes to AI model facts, there’s much to learn from nutrition labels, beyond the idea. "Model facts", proposed to address the growing need for transparency regarding AI models' capabilities and limitations, should disclose all key details about the AI model–such as its intended use case, target population, training data sources, model type and algorithm, output format, domain of usage, directions, and warnings. The goal is to enable responsible deployment, facilitating the safe, ethical transfer of models. However, as with the history of nutrition labels, which over time became more difficult to decipher and were manipulated by brands to present skewed statistics, delaying more stringent governance frameworks, AI model facts may run a similar risk. Therefore, they should not be assumed to be more than what they are, i.e., consumer guides. They are an essential baseline for promoting responsible AI deployment by setting clear expectations, but robust governance frameworks will still be required to safeguard ethics and safety.

California-based startup Shiru is launching a first-of-its-kind discovery platform and marketplace for proteins, enabling companies in multiple industries to harness its AI and machine learning capabilities to identify and test proteins from high-intensity sweeteners to emulsifiers. Via a simple web interface, ProteinDiscovery.ai lets users search a database of 33m molecules by protein sequence, functional use, and successful expression (how efficiently the protein might be expressed in microbes via precision fermentation), says founder and CEO Jasmin Hume, PhD. “In biopharma, protein discovery has been completely disrupted by the use of artificial intelligence for the last couple of years whereas the food industry has been much slower to adopt some of those very same tools. But I think that disruption is certainly going to happen.” #foodtech #syntheticbiology #precisionfermention #proteindiscovery #AI #ML #artificialintelligence #machinelearning AgFunder SynBioBeta #synbiobeta

The 'Data Nutrition' Approach to AI Transparency Worried about the rising influence of AI systems you have trouble understanding, let alone fixing? If the answer is "Yes", Kasia Chmielinski has an interesting potential solution for you: data nutrition labels. The same way food labels allow us to inspect ingredients before we eat, Chmielinski’s Data Nutrition Project aims to provide transparency into the datasets that fuel AI models. In a compelling TED talk “Why AI Needs a Nutrition Label”, Chmielinski explores how a lack of insight into AI ingredients could lead to societal harms if left unaddressed. Check it out here at https://lnkd.in/ggSQn9jH --- What are those societal harms? The recent Netflix movie Atlas seems a touch over-the-top to my mind (but hey - who knows? 🤷) but for an interesting take on AI risks, check out the AI dilemma - by the team who brought you the Social Dilemma it’s well worth a watch: https://lnkd.in/g6hXMZdF --- Keen to get started on your own data nutrition training? One of the best primers we’ve seen are this wonderful interactive from the Financial Times’ Visual Storytelling Team, Generative AI exists because of the transformer (https://lnkd.in/gEXSEqgQ). Alternatively, check out this excellent (though lengthy) jargon-free explanation of how AI large language models work from Ars Technica (https://lnkd.in/grgNjMGX).
