As we continue to celebrate #NationalHispanicHeritageMonth and recognize the significant contributions of Hispanic Americans to US history and culture, we wanted to share some notable insights from a recent TLC national survey: 🎉 94.8% of Hispanic respondents indicated that they're culturally Hispanic and celebrate traditional Hispanic holidays. Your takeaway: Try highlighting key Hispanic holidays in your communications. 😩 Negative emotions such as sadness, fear, and desperation resonate more deeply with Hispanics. Your takeaway: Use more urgent and foreboding imagery alongside an emotional message to forge a deeper connection. 🙏 Hispanics tend to place more value on conversation pleasantries and manners. Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the unique voices and experiences of Hispanic/Latino Americans and recognize their history, journeys, and achievements. Through these celebrations, we can all help to inspire younger generations and bring communities together. The Latino presence in America spans centuries, predating Spain’s colonization of what is now part of the United States, and they have been an integral part of shaping our nation since the Revolutionary War. Today, the Latino population in the United States is over 60 million, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. This makes up 18.9% of the total population and is the largest racial or ethnic group. Latinos continue to help fuel our economy and enrich our nation as entrepreneurs, athletes, artists, entertainers, scientists, public servants, and much more. Tenacity celebrates diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging 365! Today, we recognize National Hispanic Heritage Month. We honor the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latinx communities. This month reminds us of the powerful impact Hispanic Americans have made across industries, from science and technology to art and business. It's a time to reflect on the values of resilience, family, and diversity that make these communities so special. We join the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Minority (OMH) as it focuses on improving health outcomes for Hispanic/Latino communities through its theme, Be the Source for Better Health: Improving Health Outcomes Through Our Cultures, Communities, and Connections. According to HHS, “This theme calls on each of us to understand how the unique environments, cultures, histories, and circumstances (known as social determinants of health, or SDOH) of Hispanic/Latino individuals impact their overall health. ” Check out the toolkit here: National Hispanic Heritage Month 2024: Bilingual Toolkit | Office of Minority Health (hhs.gov). #healthandhumanservices #diversityandinclusion #hispanicheritage #leadbyexample #leadership #growth

The Hispanic population makes up 19.1% of the U.S., with 63.7 million people. This presents a significant opportunity for businesses, but reaching this audience requires recognizing and celebrating its diversity. During Hispanic Heritage Month, remember that not all Hispanic communities are the same. For example, communities with Caribbean origins may have cultural preferences different from those of Mexican communities. Tailoring your advertising strategy to these nuances ensures your message resonates authentically. #HispanicHeritageMonth #CulturalInsights #MarketingStrategy
