Hard to imagine going on 3 months and not hired yet. When you come to the table with: - Over 30 years of Customer/Client Service experience - Over 20 years of IT experience - Over 10 years of Sales experience - Over 10 years of Physical and Corporate Security experience Reliable, Loyal, Honest and Dedicated. Not to mention knowing what the word 'Integrity' means. Must be a tough market out there when you have a list of skills that the market is lacking in anyone under 35 years old. Should I be a mindless zombie that looks at my phone all day and shows up to work in sweatpants/pjs and has zero people skills? Begs the question - 'What are companies looking for these days' (other then laying people off to keep share holders happy)?

“Hi! My name is Jane Doe, and I am with X company. We are recruiting for X role. Please see the job posting * inserts link* ” This happens too often. People get contacted by a “recruiting agency” or a “company” that has open roles, and they almost always send a link. It is important to remember in these times, when people are applying to jobs in record numbers, that fraud is very much a thing. So, how can you stay protected and alert? 🚨 • Beware of emails with a sense of urgency. • Keep an eye out for typos. • Do not click on unknown links. • Search for the company and the person that sent you the link. If you find that this is a legitimate company and person, message them directly through the proper channels. • If you find out the message is not legitimate, block the number or email. • Last but not least, follow your gut. If you sense something is off, it probably is. If something doesn't feel right in a job search, trust your gut! I just received an email from a position I had applied for through LinkedIn. The email asked me to complete a very generic questionnaire and as I was completing it, it asked for my social security number as well as uploads of my driver's license. This made me uncomfortable, so I emailed back and stated this. There were also some red flags with grammar in the email, so I called the company. The posting was fake and was using an employee's name as the "hiring director". Trust your gut, I am glad I did! #jobsearch #jobseeking #becareful #lookingforarealopportunity

#Awareness 👩💻 After having submitted hundreds of job applications one reply from a "hiring manager" looked like a ray of hope for the overwhelmed me. 🤕 I opened the email to see this: Hello, Thank you, again, for taking the time to apply to this role. I may need to look at your, background history/credit scores and this will also include your criminal records. because the data and the other information we will provide you is costly, and company can not take any chances. Visit www.iCheckmyScores.com 'it doesn't Cost don't worry' when you are done with the reports, please send me your reports screenshot+ your resume and contact number in one mail please. Thank you, Hiring Manager. Catherine Brandon. The sketchiness of it made me hesitant. It's disappointing and disgusting that there are individuals who are preying on job seeker's vulnerabilities. There have been many such instances in the past month; sharing one of those. ✨ On a side note: If your company, acquaintance or anyone around you is looking for a diligent Talent Coordinator/Recruitment Coordinator/Recruiter/Scheduling Assistant and other similar roles, hit me up as I believe I can be a great fit! ✨ #frauds
