Sounds fun…
Our Houston Area volunteers teamed up with two of our Weatherford Walks charitable partners, Small Steps Nurturing Center and PTSD Foundation Of America, and dedicated their efforts to giving back to the local community! The One Weatherford Team had a fantastic experience as they rolled up their sleeves, cleaning up classrooms at Small Steps and assisting with garden maintenance at Camp Hope. A big thank you to our volunteers who participated in these events, and to our charitable partners for hosting us. We are looking forward to Weatherford Walks 2024! #OneWeatherford #WeatherfordWalks #Community #Volunteer #GivingBack

What is the value of ”Take Your Daughter to Work Day? We think it is education and empathy, so the child knows what the parent does daily, but it is so much more. It instills lifelong work values. Meahgan Gibson attended a “Take Your Daughter to Work Day” at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. To this day she reminds me of a few choice words I stated during a staff meeting but she also pursued a career in Leisure and Hospitality. More importantly she picked up values like; everybody is critical to success (especially the lowest paid hourly associates), every person has a story, treat people with dignity and respect, and if they have a name tag, user their name. Grow by trying new things that others shy away from. Powerful words are “thank you” and “can you help me”, and assisting others even if you do not have time. Today this was in my feed. I had no idea she was working on this. Biscuits and socks, who knew? But more importantly, a young professional (from a generation many professionals belittle) leading a project that reflects well on the brand and does good for the community. Also hats off to Dennis Pfaff, Maple Street Biscuit Company and Cracker Barrel for creating an organization culture where young professional growth occurs. Take your daughter to work and as a leader, your relationships matter more than you know. #cio #leadership
TLDR: I've been working on something pretty cool! "The Maple Street Mantra: Help People, Serve Others, Be A Part Of The Community" is why I joined the team. I'm grateful to Maple Street Biscuit Company for allowing me to take on something so near and dear to who we are. *Maple Street Silly Socks* a portion of sock sales will go directly to LifeQuest Organ Recovery Services and U.F. Health, supporting their incredible work to maximize the Gift of Life through organ and tissue donation. This is particularly meaningful because giving back has always been a big part of who I am. From working with the Miami Children's Initiative during my time at the University of Florida to my work with the Harrison County Community Foundation, I've seen firsthand the impact we can make when we come together. Your support means the world and will help create positive change in our community. P.S. The socks are pretty cool as well https://lnkd.in/gKJnfwB6

Local toy drives have a special place in our hearts because they directly impact the lives of children in our very own community. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a world of difference to a child who may otherwise go without a gift during the holidays. By donating to local drives, you're not only spreading joy but also fostering a sense of togetherness and compassion. Where can you donate? Big Brothers and Big Sisters of RI: This local organization collects clothing and soft fabrics for children in need and distributes them to families within the community. You can donate to their bins at the VFW as well as the Cup Defenders on Wood St. Bristol Police Department: They often host a holiday toy drive, and donations can be dropped off at their headquarters. Local Churches: Many churches in Bristol actively participate in toy drives during the holiday season. Check with your local parish to see if they have a collection. Schools and Community Centers: Keep an eye out for toy collection bins at your local schools or community centers. If we can become aware of others and what the community is hosting this holiday season, one purchase, one drive, one thought can directly impact someone else this holiday season for the better. This is your Daily Dose of the day! #MondayMotivation #Donations #HolidaySeason #BristolRI #RhodeIsland #DailyDoseofBristolRI

Government administration with expertise in governance, policy development, and privacy and data management
Around the world, 129 million girls are out of school, including 32 million of primary school age, 30 million of lower-secondary school age, and 67 million of upper-secondary school age. In countries affected by conflict, girls are more than twice as likely to be out of school than girls living in non-affected countries (UNICEF). Girls who complete a secondary school education earn more, marry later and raise children who are healthier and better nourished. Educated girls are less likely to face discrimination. They are safer and better protected from exploitation and abuse. They invest more in their communities. And they contribute more to the economy and to society. Click on https://lnkd.in/g_uGzFDQ to donate today.
Thanks to your kind contributions, so far we've received $16,400! This means that 27 girls will be able to attend school safely in September, and it's all thanks to you. We're incredibly grateful for your generosity and the impact you're making in their lives. Our mission is not over yet. There are still dozens of girls who have not received funding and require our assistance. Let us unite and work towards fulfilling their dreams! Click on https://lnkd.in/g_uGzFDQ to donate today.

CEO, Giving Children Hope | Speaker-Consultant-Coach on High-Performance Leadership and Culture | Kunik Expert
Maria Guzman, Thank you and the Windsor Communities team for helping those in need. Your work not only helps people in need, but is a fantastic way to develop leadership in your group. How so? The best leadership is all about high-trust relationships. One of the most powerful ways to build trust is to genuinely love your people. When they know you love them, the result is deeper engagement, commitment, and productivity. When you/Windsor do community service, you literally practice love for others. Every time you practice love, you become a more loving person, leader, and parent--building higher trust, higher performance leaders and teams--at work and home--in the process.
It was an honor being able to attend Windsor Communities annual GIVE event this past Friday. This year the Orange County teams helped give back to our community through volunteering for the non-profit organization Giving Children Hope which helps children and families break out of the cycle of need into success and self-sustainability. We had the honor of distributing food to approximately 200 local families. Working for a company that emphasizes community outreach is truly a pleasure.

I had a dream a little over five years ago to help my differently abled adult son and others like him to have a job that pays. For no fault of their own, they were born into this world with a variety of challenges, and for the most part the world is often reluctant to give differently-abled adults a FIRST Chance to work. We are trying to change that paradigm one treat at a time. With your help we can employ more differently abled adults and continue to shine a light on the need for inclusive work environments. See below for the link to donate #Firstchancetowork #employmentfordisabledadults #differentlyablednotdisabled
Our core values represent our promises to our employees, our volunteers, and to you, our supporters. We strive to create a welcoming, safe, and accessible environment in which each of our differently-abled team members can thrive. As we near our 5-year anniversary, these are the guiding principles we are committed to: 💙 Dignity & Belonging 💙 Entrepreneurship 💙 Collaboration 💙 People Over Profit 💙 Diversity & Equity 💙 Learning & Curiosity Our hope is that, with your support, we will continue to grow in these next 5 years to help more disabled adults experience what it is like to be part of an inclusive workplace environment. Thank you for making that dream possible! You can donate to support our mission at https://lnkd.in/eyNrMGzs #nonprofitorganization #inclusionmatters #accessibilitymatters

Creating and Implementing Effective Programs for Reentry and Corrections | Skilled in Coaching and Ministry of Service
🌟 Volunteers of America-Texas | Continues to be one of the Mint Female Federal Bureau of Prisons programs nationwide. An initiative aimed at revolutionizing the reentry experience for women in federal custody. Here's why it's a game-changer: 1️⃣ Tailored Support: The Mint Program is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of women in federal custody. From trauma-informed care to gender-responsive programming, we're providing tailored support to help women thrive during and after incarceration. 2️⃣ Empowerment Through Education: Education is key to unlocking opportunities. That's why the Mint Program offers a wide range of educational opportunities, from GED classes to vocational training, empowering women to build brighter futures for themselves. 3️⃣ Comprehensive Reentry Services: Our program offers a comprehensive array of reentry services, including job placement assistance, housing support, and substance abuse treatment. By addressing the root causes of incarceration, we're helping women successfully reintegrate into society. 4️⃣ Community Engagement: We believe in the power of community. The Mint Program fosters connections between women in custody and community organizations, creating a support network that extends far beyond prison walls. 5️⃣ Promoting Rehabilitation and Reconciliation: At the heart of the Mint Program is a commitment to rehabilitation and reconciliation. By providing women with the tools and support they need to heal and grow, we're paving the way for brighter futures and stronger communities. 🌱 Women in prison are often the primary or sole caregivers of children prior to incarceration. For offenders who will give birth during their incarceration, there are two programs offered to assist these mothers before, during, and after childbirth; these include Mothers and Infants Together (MINT) and the Residential Parenting Program (RPP). The MINT Program is a community residential program that aims to assist offenders during pregnancy.
Big thanks to Pastors Matt and Melissa Forgey and the The Table Community Church for an incredible Mother’s Day for moms in our Mothers and Infants Nurturing Together (MINT) Program! MINT allows expectant women who are incarcerated the opportunity to prepare for birth and parenthood as they complete their jail sentences. Your donations of diapers, wipes, clothes, food, and devotionals mean so much. To help change the life of a baby in our MINT program, donate here > https://bit.ly/3UVB7bt
