Incident Response & Threat Intelligence Analyst | ISC2 CC | NIST, ISO 27001, ITIL | Wireshark, Nmap|Cyblack Alumna | Safeguarding Organizations from Cyber Threats, Minimizing Downtime, and Protecting Reputations.
Excited to share my first task as a Cyblack intern! During our initial sprint, my team and I delved into Threat Intelligence for our company, Rominkss. I gained valuable insights into passive information gathering using various tools such as Google Dorking, Netcraft, Have I Been Pwned, Censys, Shodan, WHOIS, theHarvester, Maltego, and the MITRE database. Our efforts enabled us to conduct threat profiling and identify the top 5 threat actors in our industry who could target our organization. We provided stakeholders with detailed information on Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), as well as their tactics, techniques, and procedures. Utilizing the CVE database, we researched vulnerabilities exploited by these threat actors and devised mitigation strategies. Additionally, our team performed a comprehensive global threat landscape analysis, highlighting the overall threat landscape in relation to our company and industry. Using the STRIDE methodology, we conducted a threat modeling exercise to assess our vulnerability to potential attacks, identifying likely attack paths and motivating factors for threat actors. We prioritized the identified threats accordingly. During our presentation to stakeholders, we identified Lockbit as the top threat actor, a ransomware group that emerged as the most active in the first quarter of 2023. According to ransom-db.com, they have successfully attacked 2442 victims, posing significant risks to Rominkss, including production disruption, supply chain impact, and financial losses. We emphasized the importance of integrating threat intelligence into our security operations and conducting awareness training for employees, particularly in light of the persistent insider threat. Our recommendations aim to strengthen Rominkss' resilience against evolving threats and safeguard its reputation and operations. A huge thank you to my amazing team - Imam Bashir Abdulwahab Ridwan Aiyedun Olumayowa Alayande Oluwaseyi 'Tayo-Awodele Faith Owoeye (RDN) Mo' '. for their dedication and hard work, and to Dr Iretioluwa Akerele and the CyBlack team for the opportunity to learn and grow. Grateful for the support and guidance from everyone involved! #cyberthreatintelligence #cybersecurity #learningjourney #riskmitigation

🛡️ Reflecting on SheHacks CTF 2023 🛡️ Two days, countless challenges, and non-stop adrenaline rush! Just wrapped up participating in the SheHacks KE CTF on 22nd & 23rd September with my stellar team, 'v1n4r4'. 🌐 🥳 Excited to announce that out of the 82 participating teams, we secured the 18th position! Considering the fierce competition and the vast number of talented hackers out there, I feel immensely proud of our achievement. From this experience, I've: 1. 🧠 Gained a wealth of knowledge. 2. 🌟 Met some of the most inspiring individuals in the cybersecurity realm. 3. 🤝 Formed meaningful connections that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. This journey is especially significant to me. A flashback to last year's SheHacks CTF - I was on the sidelines, holding myself back because of the limited knowledge I had. But this year, with determination, passion, and an insatiable thirst for knowledge, I took the plunge! 🌊 As I look forward to next year, I'm filled with optimism. I know 'v1n4r4' will come back even stronger, more skilled, and aiming for the top! 🚀 Lastly, to anyone who's hesitant about diving into what they love, remember, every expert was once a beginner. My journey in cybersecurity has just begun, and I’m more passionate than ever to push my limits. #SheHacksCTF2023 #Cybersecurity #Growth #Passion
