Nurse Educator| Keynote Speaker| Thought Leader| Board Member| Accredited Provider| College Strategic Partner| Founder of Dr. Sellars Educate, LLC| Specializing in Faculty Development & CNE Exam Preparation
As Stephen Covey wisely said, "The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities." This resonates with me during the busy academic, and upcoming conference season. As Nurse Educators and Leaders, it's essential to focus not only on the rich content provided at conferences, but also to make time for social engagements. Can you guess where we were in this picture? If you guessed Chihuly Garden and Glass in Seattle, you're correct! Reflecting on my experience at the ATI Summit in Seattle a few years ago, I'm reminded of the incredible sessions that were incredibly insightful and the social events in the stunning Chihuly Garden and Glass. These gatherings highlighted the importance of connecting with like-minded professionals. It’s a reminder that the settings of these social gatherings can enhance the experience, making it even more enjoyable and impactful. Conferences are not just about the knowledge gained but also about the community we build. Looking forward to seeing colleagues in person again over the next several months! #NurseEducators #NurseLeaders #ConferenceSeason #Networking #ProfessionalGrowth #ChihulyGardenAndGlass #StephenCovey #Priorities

We are looking forward to introducing you to our July Employee Spotlight of the Month, Christina Trujillo! Christina is an Administrative Coordinator with CMC and is compassionate, has impeccable communication skills, and is goal-oriented. She is an integral and wonderful part of our team. Q: How many years have you been with CMC? A: 2 years Q: What is your role? A: Administrative coordinator Q: Tell us about how your role helps facilities to get care for their residents and participants. A: We work hard to spread our purpose and express the need to see participants for their care. Q: How does your role help providers? A: I handle the administrative aspects so the providers can focus on the care of their patients. Q: Why do you like working at CMC? A: I enjoy working at CMC because it’s a field outside of my career which was previously in hospitality. It’s an opportunity to learn about our senior community and how much of an impact a company like CMC has in their lives. Q: Tell us about a specific time you felt you were "doing great things." A: If I am able to afford it, I buy what I can from an immigrant street vendor. I then distribute the items to the homeless. The day to day can be a struggle for some of us. Q: What's one interesting fact about yourself most people don't know? A: I’m a certified ordained minister, I play the synthesizer, I love to mix/create music, and I love plants!

Head of People, myPlace Health | Healthcare HR Executive | Value Based Care | Executive Coach | Speaker & Panelist | Board Member | Foster & Adoptive Parent
If you're interested in learning more about the myPlace Health model of care, and what motivates me (having been a caregiver to my mom), I invite you to check out the short video below, where I was asked to share my story for #nationalcaregiversday.
On National Caregivers Day, we honor these heroes for the extraordinary support, endless dedication, and unwavering compassion they demonstrate each day to always be there for their loved ones. Our myPlace PACE care model provides vital support to caregivers by delivering comprehensive care and coverage that addresses the total health of each participant, thus reducing the emotional, physical, and financial burden on caregivers. At myPlace Health, this issue is deeply personal. Many on our team were attracted to myPlace Health’s mission because of their lived experience as a caregiver. Watch here as Jeff Oliver, our VP and Head of People, shares how his experience as a caregiver informs his career. If you or your loved one is interested in learning more or joining us, we are currently enrolling new participants in Los Angeles! Visit our website (https://lnkd.in/g_p_cqva) or call us (833-833-2888) to find out if you or your loved one qualifies to join.
