The programs, services and opportunities park and recreation professionals provide ensure that communities achieve optimal well-being. What are those dimensions? Park and recreation agencies can uniquely impact the cultural, economic, emotional, environmental, intellectual, physical, and social well-being of communities. This is what makes local park and recreation agencies so essential. It is unlikely that any other municipal department can have such a comprehensive impact on its community. To be honest, something I never considered that way until reading this so I’m sure many in the community don’t realize this either so is good to get the word out publicly and on the city’s site!👊
