In July 1938, the A4 locomotive No. 4468, named Mallard, made its pass through Essendine having set a new world speed record, and successfully trialling new braking systems. A record made possible by a good team, placing confidence in their ability and innovation. 86 years on that approach continues, in the same location, through another good team helping the UK take a sizeable step towards decarbonisation and energy security. 💚 #solarenergy 🚂#mallardpasssolarfarm💨

Feeling extremely sorry right now for all those who will be affected by the construction and consequently, the sheer size of these solar panels and associated equipment.
