#NATO #annualsummit #Washington #Ukraine #China #Russia #Venezuela #Cuba #NorthKorea #SahelStates #Sudan #Chad #Congo #AFRICOM 'This July, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) held its annual summit in Washington, DC, where they celebrated themselves for continuing to exist for 75 years, despite the growing opposition around the world to Western hegemony that the US, EU, and their military gang of thugs NATO carry out. Even after months of massive and consistent protests against the genocide in Gaza, it seems inconceivable that NATO would still gather to plan the next phase in maintaining Western imperialist hegemony over the world, but this is logical and necessary for their purposes because imperialism cannot continue to rule the world without the military might of the Western powers to enforce it. They had to meet to discuss the fire sale and privatization of a war-decimated Ukraine, as well as their next aggressive actions toward China, Russia, Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, the Sahel States in Africa, as well as their ability to meddle in Sudan, Chad, Congo, and other states on the Continent that have been resource-extraction and labor-exploitation playgrounds for global capitalists, protected by NATO and AFRICOM forces to keep the people opposed to them under control.'

Important piece from collective member, Makanaka Tuwe, for the Pantograph Punch in collaboration with Zina Abu Ali. Read: Rainbow Military Capitalism is Just Repackaged Colonialism In this exchange, Zina Abu Ali and Makanaka Tuwe reflect on how rainbow capitalism and pinkwashing obscure violence, tug on our belongingness wounds, and erase the abolitionist history of the Pride movement. https://lnkd.in/gxyQnup5

"Canada currently has about 100 active white supremacist groups, according to University of Ontario Institute of Technology professor Barbara Perry, one of the world's leading scholars on hate crime. It would be foolish to assume that they've disappeared just because we don't hear from them for a while. Indeed, when the situation gets bad for them — that is, significant gains are made in the realms of multiculturalism, tolerance and diversity — they'll make their presence known again." Why are there only 3-4 white supremacist hate groups on Canada's terrorist list? Is this terrorist list designed primarily for extremist "Muslims" and radical racialized groups? Where are all the hateful Neo-Nazi groups? Why is Putin not on this list? The term "Terrorist" has been whitewashed and used to dehumanize the racialized "other". It is racist and rooted in white supremacy. #whitesupremacy #racism #terrorism #hategroups #canada

I am happy to announce that I have just published an article in The Asia Pacific Journal: Japan Focus. In this piece, bring my own personal experiences growing up in Saipan and teaching for the U.S. Air Force Culture and Language Center to bear in exploring U.S. military basing in Guam and Okinawa--what the U.S. military gets right, what it gets wrong, and what future options are for creating a more inclusive and secure system. https://lnkd.in/eNUTmg4y

3 Apr 16:15: Igor 🇺🇦 introduces this article, with our thanks: ‘I'm confident, that such international organisations as: • OSCE • United Nations • International Committee of the Red Cross - ICRC • Amnesty International • International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) • International Olympic Committee – IOC … and others must conduct internal cleansing to: 1) get rid of russian agents 2) get rid of corrupt officials 3) get rid of impotent (useless) officials 4) introduce fact-based and human-oriented approach in judgements and decisions. And of course, 5) stop treating russia as an equal partner. russia is not a partner .. .., it's a military criminal dictatorship, which poses threat to the human civilisation. #russiaterroriststate #hypocrisy #stoprussia #stopputin #stoprussianaggression #stopwarinukraine #supportukraine’:
SAYING NO TO NAZI-COMMUNISM From 2017 to 2022, Piguet served as OSCE regional director-“Team Leader” in Ukraine. His task was to coordinate the work of 25 observers who were investigating potential factors of instability on Ukrainian territory, following the Russian invasion of Donbass and Crimea. Piguet began his work here aimed at verifying the alleged fascist or Nazi infiltrations denounced by Moscow to justify the aggression that began in 2014. “I delved into the Ukrainian social fabric until I reached the highest levels of Praviy Sektor, a nationalist organization banned as 'extremist' by Yanukovych's pro-Russian government, which later became a political party. For five years, I wrote dozens of reports in which I explained having met people who were extremely democratic, open and far from being fascist. The more I delved into the organization, the more I understood that the image of Praviy Sektor given by the Russians was far from true. » David Piguet reveals that the OSCE's response to his reports has become increasingly cold. “I realized that finding neo-Nazi signs had become an obsession for some people. My reports were received with ever greater coldness, until even the attitude towards me became more detached. Little by little, I realized that Russia had managed to penetrate the OSCE, using missions like the one I had carried out to insinuate that Ukraine was a Nazi country." Piguet reports noticing that all incidents against ethnic minorities allegedly linked to ultranationalists turned out to be linked to Russian interests in Ukraine. Piguet observes that the most recent example of Nazi-style persecutory attitudes – both towards Ukrainians and LGBT communities – is rather that of Russia. “At the start of the full-scale war, I understood that my place was here. As the OSCE hurriedly evacuated the country after the invasion, I resigned from that organization and joined the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps. I helped them resist, like my grandfather, against the Nazis. This is how I myself became an international volunteer for Duk-Praviy Sektor." David Piguet inspired the creation of “Fuvi” (Ukrainian fund of international volunteers). “In collaboration with our lawyer friend Nicolas Ligneul, the association works to help Ukrainian victims of war crimes to file complaints with the International Criminal Court: we have already officially filed more than 15 cases and 200 others are being processed . Thousands more will arrive thanks to the vast network of delegates developed by Fuvi in Ukraine, trained by Nicolas Ligneul. Our task is to help these people who are victims of the bombs but also of disinformation. Russian propaganda presents Ukraine as a land of Nazis, even in the most important international institutions, when – as Bandera claimed – these people are victims of both Nazism and Communism. » https://lnkd.in/es22vP2p

United Nations #Remembrance day of human losses in WWII: "Today we see a world in which so many wars are taking place, and it is essential to remind us all about lessons of #WWII that, for Soviet Union, was considered the Great Patriotic War". Previously, 9th of May- Victory Day- was unanimously acknowledged by all ex- Soviet people as they were celebrating Peace and remembering losses of loved ones. Heavy losses of over 27 million people. These days absence of Peace puts dark shades on this day. For me this victory-is the #victory of #humanity. #Nazism (ranking and treating people differently, depending upon by their ethnicity) was confronted and battled against by Germans themselves, by Europe, by USA, and beyond. Soviet human and economy sacrifices were the largest. Jews went through awful losses. This battle had not only honorable, but shameful pages as well. Little are we reminded that Germans were so constrained, that this caused nationalism. WWII memories are tragically often used not to remind about humanity, but to provoke new ideological controversies. And yet, all the history shouldn't be crossed out. Sacrifices of those who fighted for humanity shouldn't be forgotten. Sacrifices of those, who were standing for ability to live, being guided by the highest human #values free of prejudices, should not be forgotten.
