@rootsandwingschildhood ・・・ Here are the TOP 5 QUESTIONS I receive about parent coaching. Sharing them for you here in case you were wondering too. 𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧? No, I work with parents who have children of all ages- toddlers to teenagers. The most common stages for parents to reach out are probably 3, 7, 13 because there is a very natural developmental pulling away process that happens and parents are rightfully confused and looking to equip themselves when their child pushes back or shows behaviour that feels triggering. The strategy, mindset and tools I use in my coaching practice transfer easily between ages and stages. I’m always customizing my recommendations based on each unique family and consider many factors including age. Temperament and personality and the dynamics of your family are a much bigger factor than age. 𝗪𝐡𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐈 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠? 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐈 𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐨. It’s true that parent coaching is still very new. I like to tell parents I am the person to go to between the classroom teacher and the psychologist. Teachers are overburdened and 99% of the time we can make huge progress without pathologizing a child. 𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞? Not at all. I really believe that parenting is an inside job. We are all just walking around parenting ourselves. Children are mirrors of their environment so when parents are open to doing the work within themselves, shifts happen very quickly. Continued in comments

🔥 FREE COACHING ALERT! 🔥 I am currently in the middle of a Parent Coaching Certification through the Jai Institute for Parenting, as a part of their Transformational Parenting Coach program. At this stage of the program, I am needing to work with a parent-participant to go through their 12-week transformational parenting program! This program has been particularly impactful to me in my own parenting, as it has helped me to realize blind spots for how I relate to and interact with my own kids, and how I can make shifts to foster healthier relationships with them. It has also helped me to put parenting and how I parent into broader perspective with the rest of my life - so I can more intentionally and purposefully balance being a parent, husband and professional. My ideal client is a parent of a child or children at any stage in their development from toddlers to young adults with a willingness to look at their parenting with the fresh perspective of empowerment for all members of the family, emotional intelligence, and non-violent communication. The 12-week program includes weekly videos and workbook pages followed up with a one-hour coaching session each week. This program is valued at $1800 and I will waive the fee for my willing participant! If you are interested, I'd love to hear from you - please feel free to message me! For more information on the Jai Institute for Parenting and their Transformational Parenting Program, some details are below! ------------------------------------------------------------------ "Our fundamental and guiding philosophy is based on this truth: Our children’s behavior is a direct reflection of their needs (met or unmet) and our triggers (expressed consciously or expressed unconsciously). When we change, our children’s behavior changes. Without exception. So we provide a deeply transformational experience for parents first. As you let go of your residual feelings and unconscious belief patterns left over from your childhood and the way you were parented —you are able to quickly release the old, limiting beliefs and replace them with your own empowering beliefs—the ones that will truly support your best parenting. The specific tools and strategies that we do teach are grounded in the foundations of Attachment and Nervous System Science, Brain Science work of Daniel Siegel, Non-Violent Communication, Emotional Intelligence and the Neuroplasticity work of Dr. Bruce Lipton.” https://lnkd.in/gVySjCKA #coaching #parenting #jaiinstituteforparenting

Our stories shape our children’s worlds. So much is expected of parents today, and so little support is given to us. Parent coaching is the gift of meaningful support. A masterclass in telling our family stories in ways that allow acceptance, growth and connection. I offer intentional time, shared expertise, an insightful ear, and a gift for noticing and amplifying your strength About the coaching process: The Parent Coaching Institute coaching process is based on the science of positive psychology and living systems. We work together to come up with the best possible strategies, use our combined expertise to make dynamic, incremental changes and then observe and learn to trust their positive impacts. Working online in hour long sessions, we take the time to understand our challenges holistically, build on our successes, grow aware of the emotions that can motivate or derail positive change, focus on what is working and build empowered confidence through effective action. In the past I’ve worked with parents to: · Establish healthy family routines: morning, meals, bedtime, transitions · Fight burnout through truly nourishing self self-care · Navigate the challenges and delights of neurodiversity · Establish loving boundaries · Shift relationship to screens · Bolster confidence and restore the joy in parenting · Improve sibling dynamics · Improve co-parenting Testimonials “Aaron... is able to transform your woes and musings into powerful insights and profound wisdom that he promises actually came from you yourself!... I feel incredibly lucky and grateful for the time and dedication Aaron gave to help me become a stronger and happier parent for my daughters. He is a very gifted listener and coach and I couldn't recommend his parent coaching more highly.”-Cammie “Aaron helped me establish routines of self-care and mindfulness that really helped me make a major shift from frazzled and irritable to more calm and compassionate. I felt better and times that had been quite a struggle, like bedtime and getting out the door in the morning, improved. I always felt incredibly supported, never judged, even when I shared moments that I felt embarrassed about. Aaron was very wise, perceptive, and approached this work with a serious depth as well as a lighter playful side. Working with Aaron was transformative in the most positive ways. I highly recommend him as a parent coach!”-Jen S. Contact me for a free phone consultation to see if we would be a good fit for transforming your parenting story and reality. 206 861-2953

It is not the instructions we obey out of fear of the consequences that will follow if we fail to obey that will stand us out. It is rather the instructions we obey because we have understood it's place in the long scheme of our lives that will establish and stand us out. Remember all the times you were threatened to do a thing or the other, what happened the moments those threats or enforcers were out of your way? You reverted to status quo right? That's what it will always be until you see that those instructions are in your best interest, you will continue to make excuses and struggle to obey them. Toddlers are not left out in this human behavior. If you relate with them from the place of I am right and you are; I am big and you are small, I am strong and you are weak kinda air in dealing with them. It will only be a matter of time before they show you how fast they can get rid of your directions because you were not really directing them in the first place. You were rather commanding and have a field day with your emotional outbursts here and there. Are you still at loss with what to do with your children 3 years and below to best prepare them for the years ahead? Join the Early Years Parent Coaching program starting off in September and will run till December 2024 for as low as #20,000 (ie 5k per month) for daily guides on how to lay the right structures, habits, and effectively prepare yourself and your little ones for the years to come. There will also be an end of the month webinar exclusively for registered participants. You will also be in a supportive community of other parents whose children are in the same age bracket. You will have direct access to me for personalized guidance to navigate your parenting challenges in the early years. And lots more. Now you will agree that all of the above for only 5k per month (paid in a bulk of #20,000 for 4 months) is a real cheat. To come onboard this amazing community, pay #20,000 only into the Zenith Bank account of The Expectant Parent Academy using 1311250658 and forward your proof of payment on WhatsApp to 08133863236. The job of a parent is not an easy one but it can be made enjoying in the process through being in communities such as the Early Years Parent Coaching program. Let's build meaningful communities to win the collective wars against families and children. See you in class. #chiomaokoli #theexpectantparentacademy #pregnancycoach #earlyyearsparentcoach
