We would like to say a huge well done to William Sandford and Matthew Clift for passing their APC this week and becoming chartered members of the RICS! Congratulations to you both - your dedication and hard work has truly paid off!
We’re also proud to celebrate Regency Grove's 100% success rate for this session.
“Straight Six Stu” – A True Legend on Site 👷🏼♂️
Every site has its heroes, and for us, one of the most remarkable is Stuart – or as we all affectionately call him, Straight Six Stuart.
Stuart has an unmatched record, consistently achieving the highest NHBC mark of 6 on all his stage inspections. It’s not just a nickname; it’s a testament to his incredible knowledge, dedication, and commitment. He sets the bar high, and we’re all the better for it - “Anything Stu doesn’t know, ain’t worth knowing!” 🏆
What really sets Stuart apart is his energy that bounces off the entire site. His positivity when things get tough and sense drive make him a joy to work with. 🫡
Recently, Stuart’s hard work and leadership were rightfully recognised when he was made up to a ‘Black Hat’ by his managers at Roadform. It was a truely awesome moment, made even more memorable as the entire site gathered to give him a well-deserved round of applause. That collective show of appreciation speaks volumes about the impact Stuart has on everyone he works with. 🤝
Stuart, your knowledge and passion inspires me every day. You play a huge role in ensuring our Groundworks are completed to the highest standard, and your contributions don’t just build homes – they build pride in our work.
Congratulations mate - the world needs more people like you. Here’s to many more successes ahead - but I will have to make sure I get someone to show him this post today as he doesn’t own (or want) a smart phone
Have a great Friday, and in the words of Stu - “but the boys get there in the end, won’t they”

👉🏼Renovia is a great example of a company that takes care of their employees, clients, and projects.
😍Celebrating their success is a true joy for me.
It's always a good feeling when our beliefs align with the companies we work with.

We’re honored to be named second best company in the medium company category of the annual Best Places to Work in Indiana Awards program. We are grateful for the incredible team members who go the extra mile each and every day to elevate contracting in America and make a positive impact on the communities we serve. Our employees’ dedication, passion, and positivity is paramount in this achievement. This is the sixth year Renovia has been recognized as a top employer in Indiana, and this ranking marks our highest result yet.
Most people are surprised by the large number of subsidiaries Fletcher Building has. I know the company is undeetaking a strategic review. Here are my thoughts:
(1) Spin off the NZ and Australian materials and resources business into a separate company. This could be for cash, or for an in return for shares in the aquiring firm.
(3) Fletcher Building home and apartment construction. Retain minority stake in materials business to secure supply.
(4) Separate Fletcher infrastructure business and seek long term strategic partners from Australian and global strategic partners.
The main benefit of such a split into 3 parts is to allow each part to access capital, strategic partners and the abilitu aquire and use new methods and technology without producing it themselves.
Terrific to meet new Group CEO of Fletcher Building Andrew Reding yesterday. Fletchers, which has been part of the NZ business fabric since 1915, operates across the entire building supply chain in NZ and Australia - with more brands/companies than I was originally aware of (as per photo) On a personal note I was keen to see the place where my son has worked for the last two years and surprise him during my visit on behalf of BusinessNZ. Fletchers, like other corporates, plays such an important role employing university graduates, giving them the opportunity to get their first foot on the career ladder in business in New Zealand. Thank you to Andrew and Christian May for indulging a proud mother! Jonathan on the other hand was hoping to work hard and be a little less on the radar 😂
We kick 2025 off with Vice President of Business Development Heidi Nielsen's overview of the Louisville, Kentucky, hotel market. We recently assumed management of two hotels in the market, the Hilton Garden Inn Louisville Downtown and Home2 Suites by Hilton Louisville Downtown NuLu.
Louisville is the most populous city in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is most known for the Kentucky Derby and the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
Other major demand generators for the market include the University of Louisville, UPS, Ford Motor Company, Norton Healthcare, and University of Louisville Health (which is undergoing a $144 million expansion).

Receiving the APJ Abdul Kalam Most Inspiring Person of the Year 2024 award for the waterproofing industry is a milestone I’ll cherish forever.
But here’s the thing: This isn’t just my achievement – it’s ours.
The journey that led here was built on three principles:
1️⃣ Strong foundations. Just like waterproofing protects a building, trust and collaboration form the base of any success.
2️⃣ Thinking long-term. It’s not just about fixing leaks; it’s about preserving spaces that become legacies.
3️⃣ Celebrating people. Success is never a solo act – it’s the collective effort of those who stand by you.
💡 Takeaway: Whether it’s buildings or relationships, the effort we put in today creates something that lasts for years to come.
Here’s a simple 2-step strategy to start building your legacy:
1️⃣ Strengthen your foundations. Focus on trust and meaningful connections.
2️⃣ Think beyond quick fixes. Aim for solutions that endure and create lasting impact.
What’s your next step toward building something that lasts?
Let’s connect and share ideas! 🤝
Are You Ready to Stop Playing Small? Enter the Wellingborough & East Northants Chamber of Commerce Awards
Let’s cut the fluff: If you’re not putting your business out there, you’re missing a massive opportunity. The Wellingborough & East Northants Chamber of Commerce Awards are more than just a chance to pick up a shiny trophy—they’re your chance to step up, prove your worth, and get some serious recognition for the work you’ve been putting in.
I hear too many business owners moan about “not getting the attention they deserve.” Well, here’s your wake-up call—this is how you get it. By entering. By showing up. By competing. It’s not just about winning (though that doesn’t hurt, does it?); it’s about demonstrating to your customers, competitors, and even your team that you’re not content with staying in the shadows.
Think about what it says when you put your business forward:
🏆 Visibility: You get eyes on your business that you’ve never had before.
🏆 Credibility: Just being a finalist can be a game-changer for how people perceive your brand.
🏆 Momentum: Win or lose, the PR, the buzz, the networking—it all counts towards growth.
So, are you going to take action and showcase the real impact your business is making? Or are you going to sit on the sidelines while others claim the spotlight?
And listen—if you’re thinking of not entering because “it’s just not your thing,” that’s your ego talking. Leave that nonsense behind. This is the perfect chance to push your business to the next level.
You’ve got nothing to lose—just credibility, connections, and potential clients to gain. The deadline’s looming. Get your entry in and stop playing small.

Almost a week since Cardiff Property Awards ✨
Attending these awards were extra special for me and the team.
Not only were we shortlisted as finalists for FOUR categories, but I also got asked to judge the incredible talent for this years’ wider categories *disclaimer: I was recused from the conversations whereby we were shortlisted*
I learnt some valuable lessons from the judging experience:
1. Give yourself enough time to submit nominations - it’s so important to prep the nomination ahead of submission (we’ve been guilty of this)!
2. Be specific in the category! Not tailoring your award to a category can impact the greatness of within. So basically, a copy and paste exercise won’t always do! (Again, guilty)!
3. Hone in on a success story! Look, it’s fantastic to see so much being achieved by businesses across the Welsh region, but we want you to shout about the key projects you’ve delivered in the past year. (Guess what, we’re guilty here too)!
And finally, my biggest takeaway is be authentic! Write in the style of YOUR voice. Let the judges see who YOU are. That’s what’s really captivating, to me anyway!
So what next? ⬇️⬇️
Brb just off to work on next years submissions 😜
Once again a huge congratulations to everyone who won, highly commended and all nominees! Such a wonderful day at a gorgeous venue 😍
And a huge congratulations to my team - we received Highly Commended for The Contractor category ✨✨

Time flies in this fast-paced, non-stop industry, and sometimes it’s good to pause and reflect on the journey.
Coming from a background in coaching high-performance athletes, I developed a personal interest in property and found myself immersed in commercial real estate.
Starting in the industry during the COVID lockdowns and navigating the market’s redevelopment has been a learning curve.
After three years working with other agencies, I took the leap to become an Independent Agent and launched Buckley & Co.
This week marks a milestone as I transacted my 100th deal - 27 industrial, 46 retail, and 27 office with each transaction teaching me something new.
If I could give my past self advice, it would be to focus on building a solid database, understanding that customer service is key, knowing that systems and processes can outperform experience, and appreciating the importance of excellent record-keeping. Sport has taught me a lot but one of the main things has been keeping a routine which has helped me stay consistent.
I’m thankful for the opportunities and for the clients, customers and managers I've had the pleasure of working with. This job is definitely a rollercoaster, filled with highs and lows, but... it’s the challenges and wins that make it rewarding 🙌
