There’s nothing like seeing our advocacy work pay off! 🙌🏽 The RBHWC met with Ohio General Assembly members to support the Social Work Interstate Compact, and thanks to their efforts, the bill was signed into law in early 2024! 🎉 Ohio is now the 11th state to join, allowing us to help shape the Compact for the nation. Special shoutout to Kentucky for being one of the first 7 states to join, making this transformative licensure compact possible. Together, we're paving the way for better behavioral health services across state lines! 💪🏾 #RBHWC #buildbehavioralhealth #behavioralhealth #careerpaths #advocacy #coalition #workforce #ohio #mentalHealth #NewsworthyWork #SocialWork

Sometimes, ECEC policies can adversely affect vulnerable families. When a service adapts their practice, educators can help mitigate the impact of a policy on a family experiencing disadvantage and ensure that all children receive the care they need and that parents want in the education and care setting. #linkstoearlylearning, having conversations with providers and bringing this reality to light for their critical reflection. #partnerships #criticalreflection #quality #values #parenting #advocacy #collaboration #nsweducation #australiangovernment

Good afternoon, everyone! The National Safe and Healthy Housing Coalition (NSHHC) will be hosting virtual visits with congressional offices on Capitol Hill during the week of May 13, 2024. These visits offer both educational and networking opportunities for those interested in supporting healthy housing advocacy. Hill visits are being scheduled and coordinated by the NSHHC and will be conducted over a virtual platform. Virtual attendees will be grouped with other attendees and given opportunities to meet with staff from the offices of their senators and representatives. Groups will be led by policy staff and coalition members who are experienced in conducting meetings on the Hill. Training and materials will be provided before the meetings. No experience with advocacy or policymaker outreach is required to participate – all are welcome to join in the conversation about how to support healthy housing policy! Note that participation in the Hill meetings does not necessarily include lobbying; if you have an organizational restriction on lobbying, we will ensure that your participation in the Hill meetings is strictly limited to policymaker education. You can sign up to participate in the meetings here: https://lnkd.in/eYNW8Cmn Registration is open through April 12, 2024. #HealthyHomes #HealthyHousing #Advocacy #PublicHealth #Appropriations #NHHM24

The deadline for bills to be introduced in the State Assembly and State Senate was last Friday. Over 2,000 new bills were introduced with hundreds impacting California businesses, scores impacting health care, and many impacting our industry specifically. CAHSAH's legislative team led by its Policy, Advocacy, and Public Affairs (PAPA) Committee and its various subcommittees will be reviewing and evaluating those bills impacting home care, hospice, and home health and will develop our association's position on those measures. Please watch WNU, CAHSAH's social media sites, and your email inboxes for information on how you can advocate for CAHSAH and our industry on these critical measures. #homecare #homehealth #hospice #advocacy
