It's Haringey Giving Week and once again this year, we are pleased to support the #HereforHaringey campaign. Haringey Giving provides a vital platform for local people and organisations to help children and young people, tackle mental health and loneliness and build skills and enterprise in the borough. We've been working in Haringey at our Heart of Hale scheme since 2016, so we know first hand how far donations and fundraising can go to supporting those in the borough who are struggling, so any help you can give this fantastic cause is hugely appreciated: https://lnkd.in/eW3setC6

It’s easy to say the government should take care of those in need, but the truth is, change starts with us. Too often, the same people making these statements don’t give to nonprofits, don’t volunteer, and don’t actively contribute to their communities—they just complain. Let me be real for a moment: at All Hoods Unite, we pour our hearts into feeding the hungry, providing outreach, and supporting those in need. But honestly, it can be discouraging. Only a handful of people have donated, and only a few have volunteered. We give so much of ourselves, and some days, it feels like we’re running on empty. Giving is exhausting when it’s not reciprocated. But what keeps us going is the belief that our work matters—that every meal served, every smile shared, and every bit of hope we give is worth it. To those who have supported us, even in the smallest ways, thank you. And to those who haven't yet—this is your moment to step up. Be the change you want to see. Whether it’s through donations, time, or simply sharing our mission, every act of kindness makes a difference. Let’s build a community where action speaks louder than words. Together, we can make an impact. 💙 Partnership: https://lnkd.in/g_DbtE3J #AllHoodsUnite #SupportYourCommunity #MakeADifference

“In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to overlook the struggles of those less fortunate. Yet, as I reflect on my own journey, I’m reminded of the profound impact that support and kindness can have on someone’s life. The Power of Giving Back Supporting those in need isn’t just about charity—it’s about creating a stronger, more compassionate community. When we lift others up, we all rise together. However, I must admit that asking others to join in this effort can be challenging. Why it’s difficult to ask for help: 1. Fear of imposing on others 2. Concern about appearing preachy 3. Uncertainty about how the message will be received Despite these hesitations, I believe the potential for positive change outweighs any discomfort. So, I’m taking this moment to encourage my network: Let’s make a difference together. Whether it’s volunteering, donating, or simply spreading awareness, every action counts. What small step can you take today to support those less fortunate in our country?” #GivingBack #CommunitySupport #MakingADifference #bettertogether #hurricanehelene https://gofund.me/15217133

𝕋𝕙𝕖 ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕖𝕟𝕘𝕖 𝕗𝕠𝕣 ℕ𝕠𝕟𝕡𝕣𝕠𝕗𝕚𝕥𝕤 𝕋𝕙𝕚𝕤 ℍ𝕠𝕝𝕚𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝕊𝕖𝕒𝕤𝕠𝕟 The ongoing postal strike is creating new challenges for nonprofits, especially during the critical fundraising months of October to January. For many, direct mail is a key revenue stream—any delays could result in fewer donations, which would affect important community programs. But this is also an opportunity for creativity and resilience! Here is how you, as a donor, can make a big impact: 𝘎𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘖𝘯𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦: 𝘘𝘶𝘪𝘤𝘬, 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦. “Teaching Children the Power of Giving” One of the greatest lessons we can teach the next generation is the value of giving. When children are encouraged to give—whether it’s their time, resources, or kindness—they learn: 🌟 Empathy: Understanding and caring for others. 🌟 Responsibility: Recognizing that they can make a positive impact in the world. 🌟 Gratitude: Appreciating what they have while sharing with those in need. Charity work isn’t just about helping others; it’s about shaping young minds to see beyond themselves and contribute to something greater. Imagine a world where every child grows up knowing that their small actions can create big changes. Start small: 👐 Involve them in local charity projects. 👐 Encourage them to share with others. 👐 Celebrate their efforts, no matter how small. Let’s raise a generation that understands the joy of giving and the impact it can make. After all, charity starts at home—and it starts with us. What are your ideas for teaching children about giving? Share them below! #GivingBack #Leadership #ChildrenAndCharity #Empathy #CommunityImpact #YouthDevelopment

World Difference Day is a powerful reminder that even small acts of kindness can have a big impact. Whether it's volunteering, donating, or simply offering a kind word, each effort contributes to creating a more compassionate world. Today, take a moment to reflect on how you can make a difference. Here are strategic ways businesses can make a difference: • Encourage Volunteering: Implement initiatives that allow employees to engage in community service. • Support Charitable Giving: Create matching donation programs to empower employees to contribute to meaningful causes. • Promote a Safe Environment: Develop policies to protect vulnerable groups from issues like cyberbullying. • Foster Emotional Well-being: Provide resources that support employees seeking help, strengthening workplace relationships. Together, let’s build a brighter future through our commitment to kindness and service. #MakeADifference #Empower #Educate #Promote #PTWF Parent Tool Kit: https://lght.ly/ai3immi Our Website: https://lght.ly/omam005

As the year draws to a close, it’s easy to get wrapped up in the rush and focus on things that may not truly matter. But imagine if, instead, we made serving others our priority. What if we ended 2024 by giving back to our communities in meaningful ways? Supporting a local charity or nonprofit doesn’t have to be about money – sometimes the biggest impact comes from our time, our skills, or simply showing up for others. Every act of service, no matter how small, can inspire hope and create a ripple effect in the lives of those around us. I’m pledging to find 2-3 opportunities to serve others before the end of the year – to join in the movement of community support and make a difference where it counts. Let’s finish this year with purpose. Seek out a cause that resonates with you and find a way to make a difference, however big or small. Together, we can build a stronger community and create lasting change. Who is with me!? #endingtheyearstrong #community #servicefocus #thankful #servingothersfirst #promisetopledge
