The increased concentration of CO2 in air induced dilution effect on the plant produce with less nutrients. So, apart from having polluted air and extreme climate changes, we need to battle with the less nutrient food as well. This has to be addressed asap to keep environment for next generations as clean as possible. Conversion to more green energy is the need of the hour and will decide the fate of future generation.

Register today for next week's free webinar! Discover how our food choices can drive impactful climate action! Join Juli Schulz from Better Food Foundation and Jamie Gallant from Sodexo at Lehigh University for an insightful discussion on the power of plant-based food defaults in reducing carbon emissions and transforming our food systems. We’ll dive into the groundbreaking, peer-reviewed case study recently featured by Bloomberg, where three universities successfully slashed food-related carbon emissions by 25% simply by making plant-based dishes the default. This study, led by Better Food Foundation and Food for Climate League in collaboration with Sodexo and researchers from Boston College, reveals how small behavior changes, like “nudges” and default options, can help institutions meet ambitious climate targets while maintaining customer satisfaction. With proven success stories from over 500 institutions, this webinar will provide practical, actionable strategies to implement plant-based defaults as a powerful, low-cost, and high-impact solution to reduce Scope 3 emissions. Conscious habits As we near the end of January, it’s a time to review the resolutions we have undertaken, and consider what changes will become a lasting habit for the years ahead. After the mass consumption of Christmas, food loss and waste is certainly high on the proactive change agenda for us. We discard the leftovers from the Christmas lunch and don’t think too much about the end of year party buffet with the copious amounts of food remaining on the serving platters. Why would we? We’re not programmed to think of the food waste end journey. When food is thrown away, it ends up in landfills, which generates methane, a powerful toxic greenhouse gas. This greenhouse gas contributes to climate changes which affects agriculture, which influences supply chain resiliency and ultimately impacts what ends up on the supermarket shelves. Reducing food waste day to day will positively contribute to global food security, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, encourage resource and energy conservation, allow financial savings for businesses and consumers plus increase financial security for farmers. This post is not meant to be a preaching one; more a timely reminder of continuing this new year as you mean to go on - creating the kind of conscious habit that matters and one that can have a lasting impact. #foodwaste #foodwastereduction #sustainablefood #ResilientSupplyChain #farmerssupport #WasteNotWantNot #securefoodsupply #securefuture

It’s time to bring carbon calories to the masses. 🚀 We are delighted to announce our partnership with Immediate Media, owner of the UK’s number one food media company. Reewild will be helping to accelerate consumer climate action amongst its global audience through education campaigns that encourage greener eating habits. Immediate Media is home to many household names, including: 🍏 Good Food (formerly BBC Good Food) - the UK’s largest food media brand with over 50 million readers 🫒 Olive Magazine - a community of over two million readers 📻 RadioTimes - a magazine with a readership of almost half a million 🗞️ Overall, Immediate Media reaches an audience of 70 million, receiving over 122 million website impressions per month. And here in the UK, 1/3 of the population uses its services monthly. 🍝 To kick off our first campaign, Reewild has a six-page feature in Good Food magazine to drive awareness of the environmental impact of food and introduce the concept of ‘carbon calories’ - a unit intended to simplify the understanding of food carbon emissions. With several activations in the pipeline, this partnership can help to bring climate transparency to the food and drink industry, empower greener consumption and start to reduce the “say-do” gap. Get your May edition copy of Good Food today to check out the feature! #carboncaloires #climateeducation #consumerbehaviour
