When it comes to their health, everyone deserves the chance to make an informed decision. This should be no different when patients are choosing fertility treatments. So, as those of us who work in the fertility treatment industry, how can we support patients to make informed choices? Through in-depth discussions and workshops, we have reached three proposals to expand patients' access to evidence-based research. These are: ✅ Auditing consent processes 💰 Compiling an average price list of treatments and creating an online tool for comparing prices among clinics 📉 Enhancing existing patient databases to encompass not only feedback and ratings but also incorporate pricing information What do you think of these proposals? DIY fertility treatments can save prospective parents time and money—but what’s the trade-off?: Online companies are offering do-it-yourself fertility testing and kits. They may not have all the answers. At 32, Tessa Mills and her husband were having trouble conceiving. They had spent two years trying and gone through a battery of tests. Mill’s husband’s semen analysis came back with a few abnormalities. Their clinician recommended three cycles of IUI (intrauterine insemination). http://dlvr.it/TBxkzw
