At Remote Heaven, we prioritize the Candidate. 1. We let candidates know the salary information at the start of the interview - hiding salary information is crude and cruel. 2. We interview you only once for any position - multiple interviews for the same role shows ineptitude in managing interview projects. 3. We give candidates a one sentence compassionate feedback if they do not get the role - feedback is humane. 4. We insist that candidates be able to choose whether they prefer to be paid weekly or monthly - for some employees, monthly payments take far too long for their peculiar circumstances. 5. We insist that employers make their job description short and summarized - job descriptions that cover multiple pages of the internet, are baseless and odd. 6. We ensure that interview sessions are conversations and not interrogations - we let the candidate tell us what they would do to solve problems that come up in their roles. 7. We don't accept job postings for entry positions that make years of work experience compulsory - candidates who are fresh out of high school or universities or from learning a trade, have a right to work too - at one time, everyone who has experience today, had zero years of professional working experience. 8. We organize training for candidates immediately they are recruited for a role - we want our candidates to succeed. 9. We give opportunities for candidates to be resident in one country while working in another - there are positions in companies that have been open for months and years because they are unable to fill them with local candidates due to scarcity of human resources. 10. We provide support to candidates after they are employed. As the iconic Brigette Hyacinth says, It's time to put back the Human in Human Resources. Did you know: the average job seeker on remote.com/jobs applies to 50% the jobs they check out. Far from the "spray and pray" strategy highlighted by the media, these candidates are discerning and intent on finding the right fit. Remote Talent lets candidates narrow down their search with geo filters and assess a company's "remote-ness," so they only see roles they're eligible for. Plus, we're ad-free, so job seekers don't get distracted by irrelevant promoted roles.

What a great idea for hiring remote employees! I recently stumbled upon a fantastic opportunity on #WeWorkRemotely for a Support Manager position, and what caught my attention was not just the role itself, but the approach to the application process. A video introduction stands out as a potential game-changer in allowing candidates to convey their personality and enthusiasm beyond the limits of a traditional resume. This method feels like a bridge connecting human elements to digital processes. It's a creative strategy that promises to enhance the hiring process, ensuring a more personal and effective match. Could this be the best approach to finding candidates for remote roles? #RemoteWork #HiringInnovation #JobSearch #DigitalHiring #CareerOpportunities

If you want to get a remote job, put yourself in the shoes of the recruiting company. Why would you recruit a person? How would you know that this person is a good fit? What needs to be in their resume to make the first cut? One can argue it's the tech stack or past experiences. But it's not. The first cut is eliminating 99% of applications. You can't rely on the tech stack alone to achieve that. There should be something else. Let's go back to square one. Working remotely is working with people in different countries and time zones with little overlap. So, how would you know they'll work? If you can't confirm that a person will work, technical skills, IQ, or past experiences are irrelevant. Now, back to you. If you want to make the first cut, show the recruiter that you can work remotely, with no management and with little guidance. How to show that depends on you, but in general, good remote candidates are curious and love what they do. Side projects, blog posts, cool stories, etc, are all examples of curious people and those loving what they do. If all your resume has is past experiences, and your name, there is a low chance you'll make it past the first cut. So make your resume stand out. Be curious and interesting. I'll share more posts in the future to go deeper into every aspect of your resume and how to make it stand out. If this sounds useful, follow me to get those in your timeline.
