Work whenever and wherever...
This is what I constantly see in posts about remote work.
But what I fail to understand is, how do you build a company if everyone works whenever and however they want?
Companies are successful and make an impact not because the product idea was great, but because people come together, working towards the same goals while being aligned by the same values and mission.
For example, Atlassian, who released their remote work report, highlighted the importance of having 4 overlapping hours with their team members.
At Testlio, we have people from more than 40 countries, and we are continuously working on improving our remote work guidelines, so we'd have aligned expectations of how we work together.
To keep teamwork happening, we have also introduced timely responses.
Urgent messages need to be responded to within three hours (we just updated this from 1 hour), and non-urgent within 8 hours.
Team is everything.
