I have seen #badger settlements where animal tunnels have entrances and exits close to proposed #infrastructure and wonder how engineers can solve this problem to ensure the #resilience of the infrastructure. This is why this article caught my attention and may be of interest to you... I think, the new technology discussed in the article below should not only help to detect badgers on #flood defences, but also on critical infrastructure that requires embankments, such as railway lines, whether in flood plains or not... railway embankments in flood plains are more likely to fail during floods if they have experienced burrowing activity by animals... https://lnkd.in/dcuf3hRv

Never looked in detail at this tech but if it could be amplified there’s potential for use in reservoir condition surveys, perhaps looking for piping in earth embankment reservoirs…….👍🏻
