At Renesas, ensuring the health and safety of our employees is our top priority. Our recent milestones achieved and ongoing initiatives include: ▪️ Obtaining the ISO45001 certification, an international standard for occupational health and safety, management systems, at all of our major sites ▪️ Significant reduction of occupational accidents with days away from work, including temporary and contract employees (8 in 2023 vs. 18 in 2022) ▪️ Reduction of long work hours to enhance work-life balance among corporate employees and labor union members ▪️ Implementation of various safety and health measures and training for our global employees throughout the year “Over the past 2.5 years, we’ve taken actions to certify our Renesas production sites in Japan, China, Vietnam, US and Malaysia for the ISO 45001, which has improved the employee awareness of health and safety, reduced the number of occupational accidents, and promoted employee health. My team members around the world are working together to prevent occupational and industrial accidents by proactively sharing case details and countermeasures, standardizing rules, and implementing unified risk assessment systems at manufacturing sites.” ─ Johannes Baubin, Vice President, General Affairs Scroll through to see our recent health and safety initiatives from various regions. https://bit.ly/4bLl7hA #EmployeeHealth #HealthandSafety #WorkplaceSafety

The EMA is joining forces with ACC New Zealand to address workplace injuries in the manufacturing sector, by developing an industry-led sector-wide health and safety plan. Manufacturing has one of New Zealand’s highest rates of workplace injury and its fatality rates are significantly higher than those in Australia. The first phase of the project will see the project team examining the research around what works and engaging with manufacturers, unions, iwi, academics, and other stakeholders across the country to identify the opportunities available and to better understand the experiences and challenges of those working in the sector. Reflecting on a period of Global Collaboration and Quality Assurance I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had in 2023. Last year was a testament to our commitment to quality and excellence, as we conducted comprehensive #ModuleC2 visits to our #ppe manufacturing partners across the globe. 🌏 Mexico: Our visit to Mexico was enlightening, showcasing the vibrant culture and dedication to craftsmanship that goes into every product. 🌏 Taiwan: In Taiwan, we witnessed the fusion of cutting-edge technology with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every component meets our high standards. 🌏 Spain: The passion for perfection was palpable in Spain, where traditional methods are blended with modern innovation to create truly exceptional offerings. 🌏 China: And in China, we saw the scale of ambition matched by an equal commitment to sustainability and responsible manufacturing practices. These visits were not just about ensuring compliance but also about strengthening relationships, understanding local challenges, and collaborating on solutions that drive our PPE industry forward. We’re proud to work with partners who share our vision for a future where quality and #compliance go hand in hand. Here’s to continuing our shared journey towards excellence in 2024 and beyond!
