Insightful discussions at last night’s launch of The Crown Estate's route map for the future of offshore wind. It was inspiring to hear from Chris Stark, Head of ‘Mission Control,’ about his bold vision for the UK's clean energy mission. We’re especially excited to see the Celtic Sea take such a prominent position in future leasing rounds. This event marked the first public unveiling of The Crown Estate's promising new partnership with GB Energy, aimed at speeding up project timelines and reducing consenting delays. 👏 Last night was a strong start for this partnership. We hope industry won’t have to wait long for more details on how this process will be structured—especially the critical timelines for how much, where, and when projects will roll out through 2030. #systemsthinking #strategy #offshorewind #celticsea

This starts today with #OffshoreWind and we’ve published our thinking on the Future of Offshore Wind, the first publication on behalf of the exciting Great British Energy: The Crown Estate partnership! The report sets out our early thinking on the ‘what, when, where and how’ to bring to market an additional 20-30GW of offshore wind leasing opportunity by 2030, for delivery out to 2040. We’re now seeking input and feedback from industry and wider stakeholders to help shape our approach to seabed leasing. 📷 ☺️ It's been quite the week for high profile political press activity here in Wales. On their first official joint visit, Prime Minister Keir Starmer met with Wales' new First Minister, Eluned Morgan, at RWE's Brechfa onshore windfarm to outline the pivotal role Wales has to play in the ambition to make the UK a clean energy superpower. Then the First Minister joined Angela Rayner MP, Deputy Prime Minister, and Jo Stevens MP, Secretary of State for Wales, at the official opening of Pembroke Dock Marine's new £60 million development to attract offshore renewable energy firms and jobs to the region. Huge thanks to Port of Milford Haven for inviting us to attend. Lots of talk of turbo-charging ambition to deliver for a greener more prosperous Wales 💚
