My Two Cents On Bridging Divides, Tackling Plastic Waste, and Embracing Courage
It’s easy to get swept up in today’s divisive rhetoric, with so many voices shouting from different sides, trying to pull us in opposite directions. Sometimes, it feels like the loudest voices thrive on keeping us angry, fueling division with every headline, every debate, every conversation.
But here’s a truth worth remembering: unity doesn’t come from shouting over the noise; it comes from listening beneath it. It's about seeing the shared humanity in each of us, recognizing that, despite our differences, we all want a better future.
We can’t let others stoke our anger or convince us that division is inevitable. The real power lies in refusing to be manipulated, in choosing hope and seeking common ground instead of furthering the divide. Just like the ripples in a pond, the small moments where we choose connection over conflict can grow into something larger—something more meaningful.
So, the next time someone tries to discourage you, anger you, or pull you into a divisive narrative, remember this: you have the choice to rise above, to see the bigger picture, and to help others do the same.
What small steps can we take to move beyond the noise and focus on building a better future together? I’m curious to hear your thoughts.

A recent study reveals a staggering reality: the world produces 57 million tons of plastic pollution every year, infiltrating everything from the deepest oceans to the insides of our bodies. Shockingly, more than two-thirds of it comes from developing countries, often referred to as the Global South. To put this into perspective, that’s enough plastic annually - 52 million metric tons - to fill New York City’s Central Park to the height of the Empire State Building. Imagine that!
This alarming level of pollution begs a vital question: How can we, as individuals and as a global community, come together to reduce the plastic waste that threatens our planet and our health? What are some small but impactful steps we can take today to make a difference?

Sometimes, in the midst of our daily struggles, we forget that the impossible is achieved by those who dare to dream bigger and step past their fears. Debbie Millman’s words remind us of the importance of bravery in pursuing the unimaginable:
“Every once in a while - often when we least expect it - we encounter someone more courageous than we are, someone who has dared to take risks, someone who has walked through fear, someone who, against all odds, has imagined the unimaginable, and then done the unimaginable."
Who will inspire you today? And perhaps even more importantly, what will you do to be the one who inspires others by daring to walk through fear and make the unimaginable a reality?

Whether facing division, environmental challenges, or fear, small actions and courageous choices can help us create a better future. What’s one step you can take today?
