Our webinar with Prof. Patrick Devine-Wright (University of Exeter) is just around the corner! Next month, Patrick will be joining Prof. Peta Ashworth OAM for a discussion of key social considerations of decarbonisation. 📅 Tuesday 14 May ⏰ 16:00 - 17:00 (AWST) 📍 Online via MS Teams 🎟 https://lnkd.in/gAZvcUea Climate change policy targets necessitate rapid and deep decarbonisation of energy sectors globally. In this talk, Prof. Devine-Wright will critically discuss the challenges this poses for policy and practice, and for social science. Collectively, social science frameworks and principles can recast technology deployment as an act of place-making. They have the potential to deliver greener, fairer and more resilient communities, and ensure social science research contributes to, rather than undermines, just energy transitions. Our recent global survey of construction professionals however, saw a scarily high percentage believing that climate change is a problem for 15 years time and not now. This perception gap and other incredible insights will be the topic of discussion at an upcoming webinar EHAB is co-hosting with Deltek. On 26 March 2024, 4pm GMT Join Rob Edwards, Joao Dias and Josh Graham to discuss climate, risk perceptions and new tools and integrations to help Navigate the Storm.
