This study investigated the impact of mirikizumab on histologic resolution in patients with moderate-to-severe Crohn’s disease. At 12 weeks, 66% of patients treated with 1000 mg of mirikizumab achieved a histologic response, compared to only 27% in the placebo group. Histologic remission was maintained in 31% of patients at 1 year, with early responses strongly predicting long-term remission. These findings suggest that histology may play a crucial role in managing Crohn’s disease, offering valuable prognostic insights for long-term remission.
