Ever thought about how marketing is like traveling? As a performance marketer who loves to travel, I've realized that marketing and traveling have a lot in common. 💎 Exploring New Places: Just like visiting a new city, starting a new marketing campaign needs a plan. Without it, you can easily get lost in the chaos. 💎Understanding Cultures: Whether it's learning about a new culture or getting to know your audience, insights are key. You need to dive in, listen, and adapt to connect meaningfully. 💎UnexpectedSurprises: Traveling often brings unexpected detours, just like marketing campaigns. The best experiences come from being flexible and enjoying the ride, no matter what happens. 💎Telling Stories: Every place has a story, and so does every brand. Sharing the true essence of a destination or a product makes lasting impressions . Traveling has taught me that success in marketing, much like exploring the world, is all about curiosity, adaptability, and connecting with people on a deeper level. P.S. Have you ever tried to market in a language you don't speak? #traveling #marketing #perfromancemarketing #travelwithme #linkedinfam

Hey People, "Life is a journey, not a destination." - Ralph Waldo Emerson Standing at Lancaster Railway Station, It made me think about my own journey in digital marketing. Just like a train journey, this industry is filled with unexpected twists and turns. It's important to embrace the journey, learn from the experiences, and stay focused on the destination. Sometimes, the most rewarding moments come from the unexpected stops along the way. From navigating algorithm updates to embracing new technologies, it's been quite a ride! But through it all, I've learned the importance of staying curious, adaptable, and always looking for the next opportunity. Looking forward to the next adventure in the world of digital marketing! #digitalmarketing #journey #growth #travel #worklifebalance #lancaster #railwaystation #uktravel

5 languages & language coach & linguist 🧡 lived in 8 countries, been to 30+, part-time nomad in Berlin, Germany
I'm a traveler. Not just because I've lived in 8 countries and traveled to 30+... Because I travel across mental spaces and human experiences. I know how it feels to live in survival mode. I've traveled to the living and thriving mode, where I'm at right now. I was in academia, when I was ready to devote my life to one field, and planned the future 10+ years ahead. I was in a 9-5 job, and all I could think about was to get promotions and save money. I was a beginner freelancer, when I imitated what others were doing, and how much others were charging. Now I'm an entrepreneur, a business owner, a personal brand, and I play by my own rules and no one else's. I was not spending any money on leisure, not even clothing, because my parents paid for my tuition fees and I felt extremely guilty. Now I spend money on coaching, travels, and tons of clothes - knowing that I'm able to earn more in no time. What's the point of traveling? It's the experience, the exposure, the amount of options that you see in the world, that gives you the freedom of choice. Plus, I'm just so curious and excited to see horizons that I haven't seen before... it's so much fun, isn't it? So, I'll continue to travel - in nature, cultures, mindset, experiences. When you work with me, or read my content: what I share is the summary of all the miles I've been through. 🤗 #personalbranding #personaldevelopment #travel

💥20 Lessons I've Learned More Than 20 Years as a #Travel Researcher (Tell me your favourite lesson in the comments) These past few years have been wild for us all; it is a constant roller-coaster. Here are my tips about marketing to travellers after a lifetime in travel and lifestyle research. Use them. 1. Content = Revenue, Bookings and Visitors 2. Content = Trust, Reputation and Authority (thanks David Amerland 🇺🇦) 3. Travellers want to meet local people 4. Travel transforms people. How can you help with personal transformation? 5. Travellers want to reconnect with those they are travelling with 6. They are looking for opportunities to learn and self-improvement along the way 7. Wellness = access to nature 8. Nature = beautiful and strange landscapes, topography, water 9. Nature = animals in natural environments 10. Travellers love tales, folklore, stories, ghosts, goals and cemeteries 11. History of all kinds 12. Local cultures - even in our own countries 13. Food and wine from the best Chinese in town to 3 hats 14. Stories you come home and tell 15. Sometimes, we are too close to our business to be objective 16. You are probably focusing on the wrong marketing tactics 17. If you are not good at tech, time to find a new career 18. You genuinely need to love people and all their versions, flaws and foibles - not the idea of it. If not, time to find a new career 19. You can market, build and grow your business on zero-budget 20. It'll be harder and take longer than you think. Help is out there I am going to go through all of these in detail over the coming weeks, so keep an eye out. What's your favourite?
